Gaslamp High Ceiling loft, located in great area, surrounded by many restaurants & bars, with short walk to the Convention Center and Marina.

Spacious loft with fully stocked kitchen, has washer & dryer inside the unit, and very comfortable for big groups.
The space
The space is 1100sf and includes 3 queen size beds, spacious living room with flat panel TV, full kitchen, full 1 bathroom. The unit is very centralized and easy to walk everywhere.
Guest access
Guests have access to entire apartment with every modern convenience including kitchen, appliances, kitchenware, full bathroom, washer and dryer. Kitchen has all new appliances with access to stove and fridge. Washer/dryer are in unit.
1 parking space located block away.
Other things to note
You will have to walk up 1 flight to the bedroom. Please be physically ready for the stairs.

- No smoking in the entire building including the courtyard area.
- Please do not have the loud party in the house, please keep low noise in the hallway. Quiet time is 9pm-8am.
- No pets allowed.
- Do not have more guests than the number of guests provided.
- No Drug activity, including marijuana /hookah.

Great Spot for the convention center

Spent the week at a conference at the convention center. Nice location downtown. Condo is open aired with walls but no ceiling on the lower room. This worked out great for our purpose. Gives more privacy than a hotel room with easy access to what the Gaslamp has to offer.

Property is not in a great area. Lots of homless people around, sleeping in front of then doorway to the main entrance, dark lighting or no lighting to get into the loft, property was clwan but not well kept.

Won’t stay again

The owner is extremely unresponsive. I messaged requesting the possibility of checking in 30 minutes early and received no response so we waited until the 3pm check in time. Checked in and the place reeked of weed and had heels in the wall and door. Messaged owner to let her know and received no reposnse. Furniture is different than in photos and the couch is definitely broken. Least comfortable thing to sit on to try to watch anything. There were 2 adult couples in our group so having 2 bedrooms would have been perfect except they aren’t bedrooms, the loft they have listed as a bedroom does have a door but is open to the main living space including the first floor “bedroom” which doesn’t have a ceiling. Great place if you want to party but not if you’re wanting a nice weekend away. Stay anywhere but here.

Very disappointed

Had contacted owner prior to arrival after reading poor review, letting her know my concerns, especially regarding smell of Weed/smoke She stated everything had been taken care of. It was not. The place reeked of Weed, holes in the walls, mold in the bathroom. I couldn’t stay there. I had to scramble at 10pm to find alternative accommodation which luckily I did in a hotel—at great extra expense. I notified VBRO and the owner. I expect a full refund but haven’t heard anything yet.

Convenient!

This stay was exactly what we had hoped for. We wanted to be close to local amenities, Gas Lamp, and Petco Park for a concert. The facility has the bare necessities, the parking was very close by, a short two block walk, and just beneath the building there are several restaurants, comedy clubs, and other nightlife. If you are a light sleeper you may hear a little nightlife such as the occasional sirens for the Gas Lamp activity, but it didn’t bother us a bit. We had a small hiccup with the parking card not working upon arrival, and the hosts were responsive and had a solution within 30 minutes. The neighbors in the nearby units were very quiet. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking be aware there are very few pots/pans/silverware. Consider bringing your own cooking equipment if you need anything specific. One or two small pots, a single pan, a couple small cutting boards, a knife block, and enough silverware for 6 people. Also seems like previous guests have broken glassware and the coffee table shown in the photos, which is unfortunate. So there were limited cups at the time of my visit. There was a normal 12 cup coffee pot with filters provided which was a nice touch. There was also a stackable washer and dryer on site. This unit is next to another one of their properties so if you needed more space/beds I would recommend messaging the host to see the adjacent listing. Thank you to the hosts for being so accommodating and responsive!

Lack of instructions for use of this home

The location was good however the apartment itself smelled of weed, there were no batteries in the remote, once we went out and purchased batteries the TV did not work, there was broken pictures on the wall. There were no instructions on check out and also no wifi. All together, very disappointed. We reached out on our first night and received no communication back. Do not stay here.
