Great neighborhood good for our needs

Cottage is in a great neighborhood and was good for what we needed. We wanted to ve in that neighborhood and it was a short stay. Restaurants and bay in 2 blocks. We enjoyed the deck at night. Busy streets on both sides but still slept good. Bed was comfortable House overall was just ok. It really needs some tlc and a good cleaning. Yard could use some love too.

Good location with easy parking

As described in listing. Pros: location, parking, comfy bed. Cons: no A/C, traffic noise, brightness from street through blinds at night. Use a fan for white noise and comfort. I would not stay during hot months.

Excellent location

Great location for seeing San Diego. Very close to airport but also to the Zoo and easy to get to Mission Bay. Just a few blocks from the house takes you to the harbor and a nice trail. Neighborhood has restaurants and a only a short drive to a gourmet supermarket. House is comfortable and private but basic. There is a nice yard and deck and room for parking.

A place of my own while visiting family…

I was in town for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday looking for 1 bedroom, 1 bath with step-in shower, kitchen, close to ocean, on site parking, place to safely take daily walks. Property met all those requirements My Favorite things: Outstanding walking path by Bay/Bessemer Beach only two blocks from rental—I used it every day Unexpected air conditioning was appreciated Easy access to places we went to: Liberty Station (Fig Cafe-fabulous brunch; Buona Forchetta-my granddaughter’s favorite Italian restaurant) ;Glorietta Bay Park (for birthday celebration) Old Town (Casa Guadalajara restaurant & Mormon Battalion Historical site) Barrio Logan for Chicano Park and my son-in-law’s Arts-Rec Store. Property manager Randi replied quickly to my concerns: Changed front door lock code from 1234 to secure one. Location of remotes to Air conditioning and backyard gate How to access WIFI Incident with sliding back door glass shattering Suggestions: At least one Safety hand rail on front and back entry stairs. Difficult to safely maneuver when carrying things. Safety mats inside and outside shower—I used towels. Have landscape maintenance done before our arrival, not the day before I checked out. Incident of sliding back door glass shattered by weedeater throwing a rock. Luckily my parked rental car didn’t get damaged. Deck furniture & gas grill needed cleaning to be usable. Mostly good stay. I’d stay again if safety issues resolved.

Great little cottage!

Such a cute little cottage conveniently located to everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was very responsive and great to communicate with. We look forward to staying again! :)

Perfect place to stay

Was super cute! A little loud but every enjoyable.

Everything was very clean, the manager would text back right away if needed. Loved making food, the the right dishes. The washer you gotta work with a little but washer and dryer works great. It is a little loud sence it is on a corner of busy streets.

Cute, LOUD & Musty

Super cute place - loved the yard & parking! Location nice but too close to the road! Bed is literally 6 feet from the road & sidewalk - super loud -could barely rest on our stay- the broken window balance in bedroom only made the super loud traffic louder- chlorine smell welcomed us but after the first day we were overwhelmed with the musty odor that stuck to us- we had to wash all our items and air out our suitcase-silverfish bugs were present & mouse droppings in kitchen 1st day were found- light switches were dirty throughout- blinds were dirty from candle smoke also the sheers should be replaced with privacy blinds for guest privacy. Would not repeat the experience without some major improvements. Bed frame broke 1st day upon crawling into- my husband had to fix & contact owner - she did offer to replace -but we did not want further disruption-so we “made it work.” Owner was very nice - just a little $$$$ for what you get.

We had trouble with the lock on the front door. The lock battery was low or dying, it would take us several tries to enter. There were lots of light switches that didn't control anything. The places could of used more seating, including a kitchen table.

Great location for visit with daughter

We had a lovely stay at this beach cottage, which is located just a few blocks from the beach. The shower was very nice, the beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows and linens in the closet. The cottage is hot and the a/c doesn’t work. We spent most of our time outside or in the backyard at night. There were 2 box fans which helped to circulate the air. The washer door wouldn’t shut so we walked to the local laundromat instead. Overall, a very cute cottage and we would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

Ideal location close to airport, harbor, restaurants, fitness studios, etc. It was nice to have off street parking, especially with the house being located on a busy intersection. Bed and bathroom linens were clean and fresh. Overall it wasn’t bad, but kitchen supplies were underwhelming and the bedroom street window desperately needs blackout curtains.
