A nice kitchy hotel. The noise from above was dreadful, they need better floor insulation or at least a carpet or rug in room to stop the stomping. The courtyard frequently featured smokers, against the rules, which made my room stink if I left the windows open. No point having a rule if it's not enforced. The area was also dreadful. Having to step around the homeless and their feces is not my idea of a relaxing stay. Not he hotel's fault, but location matters.

Well-located boutique-ish hotel in the heart of downtown San Francisco, walkable from bart, muni, buses and even the free Mission Bay shuttle! It's not the in the rowdiest part of SF either i.e., outside of the TL if you know SF well. It is a converted SRO type of well refurbished hotel. So while the age of the building is telling (super old heating system!) the rooms are nicely decorated with arthouse decor, modern updated bathrooms, etc, including a lovely little lobby area for a good selection of morning breakfast pastries is a plus! Solid 4-star stay from us!

We stayed at Hotel Fiona over the weekend, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Check-in was super easy, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional. We arrived before check-in, but they let us store our bags so we could head out and explore the city—huge plus! Parking on site was convenient, and our room was clean and well taken care of. You can tell the hotel is older, but it’s been nicely updated. It’s not a luxury spot, but it’s a solid, comfortable place to stay if you’re looking for something affordable in the city. We felt totally safe in the area, and it was easy to get around and do all the touristy things. One thing that made me laugh a bit—they advertised a “courtyard view,” which turned out to be a small patio with a couple of tables and chairs. The hot tub was out of order, but no big deal. I didn’t use the pool across the street at their sister hotel, so I can’t speak to that. The free breakfast was fine—basic but totally in line with what you’d expect—and I actually liked the community bath products in the room. All in all, I’d give Hotel Fiona a solid 3.5 to 4 stars. If you want clean, comfortable, and budget-friendly, this is a great choice.

The room was clean and very cute. No mini fridge but it had the other basic amenities. The breakfast is just a few pastries, not a full breakfast. The hallways did have an old hotel smell to them and i couldnt smell it but my mom and brother said the room smelled funky too...personally i liked the room but the street next to the hotel did seem a bit sketchy and we could hear the traffic from the street too when we were trying to sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fiona. We had a family room and my wife, 2 children - 13 and 10 had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Use of the pool was great. The room was good and cleaned well every day. The location was good for getting around. Downsides were that the room was dark with no main light in the middle of the room and a huge tree stopping any outside light getting in through the window. The shower was difficult to get working. The location was next to a road where there was a lot of vagrancy. Despite this we would definitely stay there again.
