I didn’t realize the area was so bad until after I stayed here. If you go out at night. You have to go straight into the uber, hopefully not alone, and then go straight into where you are going and vise versa. There’s so many people smoking meth or something outside on the sidewalks. I realize that’s not the hotels “fault”, but it’s good to know when booking.
The issue with the hotel I have is the price change from 35 dollars to park (according to Expedia’s page for The Hotel Garrett), to charging me 65 to park for having a truck (a small truck) which is doesn’t say that if you have a truck, then it should be twice as much to park in the same spots as everyone else can fit in too.
I thought the pricing was great/was a good deal, but it doesn’t make sense anymore now that I’ve seen what they say you get, and then what you actually get which isn’t what was said or end up paying more.
Besides that:
The room was pretty clean. They have small, simple continental breakfast. They have nice staff. They have a security guard in the parking lot.
