Reviews on Expedia were misleading. Pictures didn’t really give an accurate representation of what the hotel looked like inside or outside.
The parking lot is only one way, so if you don’t feel comfortable backing out, park near the front of the lot. Beware that you’ll be having to back out onto Lombard street, which is incredibly busy.
When I arrived, it was only 30 mins prior to check in time. When I was finally able to get inside of the lobby, there was another guest in there complaining about bed bugs. Not a great first impression. After she left, I was told I couldn’t get into my room for another 30 minutes because they were still being cleaned. That is fair. Came back at 3 to get my room key and was told that my room still wasn’t ready. I asked how long until it would be ready and I was told another hour or more. I had to explain to the front office attendant that wouldn’t work for me, as I had booked the hotel and expected to check in at 3 because I had somewhere I needed to be and needed to get ready to be there in my room.
I was given a room fairly quickly after that, which I do appreciate, but it was much smaller than the room I booked and paid for. I was sharing this room with my teenage daughter and it was very cramped for both of us.
The bathroom had an odd smell. Walls were super thin and you could hear everything through them. Checked for bed bugs and didn’t see anything, thankfully. Probably wouldn’t stay here again though.
