Smaller resort easy to navigate. Different types of entertainment every night. Facility is older and renovations are underway. Renovations did not interupt guests though. Look forward to seeing the finished results.

Overall we really liked our stay at the Solaris Lighthouse resort. First, the staff were incredible. This includes the bar staff at the pool, like Luis! The breakfast staff were hustling to meet everyone’s needs. Martha, who was the hostess for our son’s wedding at the was top notch! Sabas, who is a trainee working at the concierge desk was awesome and helped get our luggage from the airport and had great suggestions on what to do. The breakfast buffet was fantastic each day with a variety of things to choose from like fresh fruit, cereals, cook to order eggs, etc. The lunch buffet was marginal at best. It was the same thing each day and not great choices. The dinner buffet was decent and the Italian restaurant was great but you need a reservation for that. Mario, our waiter was excellent there! We tried the Mexican restaurant the first night and walked out after not getting waited on for 15 minutes. The pools were all excellent and felt like they were clean each day. It was annoying having to get up early to get a chair, but not sure how to solve that one. Our room was ok. The USB ports did not work at all and the screen door almost fell off each time you went on the balcony. We had a beach front room and the view of the ocean was great. You can tell that Solaris is working on the property to get it fixed up and I think it will be even better in a short time. I will go back but will wait a little while until they get the kinks worked out. Staff was fab!!

More dining options would be good. Found the service at the restaurants to be very slow- there was a staffing shortage. You had to pay for the little coffee shop onsite, and only one bar open during the day time hours starting at 10 am. We were surprised the lobby bar was only open in the evenings. The pizza was very good and made to order- however you were not allowed to take it out of the buffet area- which were very loud. We stayed in a deluxe overview room, it was very nice and clean. Loved the towel animals.

This property could be very nice with a few upgrades, especially with the plumbing and bathrooms for the public . The food needs a major upgrade or different ways of cooking it. very bland.

Our fifth visit to this property, previous four visits this was a Barcello Lighthouse ownership, which was a great small all inclusive. This was our first visit under New ownership, Solaris Lighthouse, and this visit was not great. Worst was the food service, buffet meal selections often cold, not tasty, fatty pork cuts, hard to cut and chew beef, chicken mainly wing, leg and thighs. The pool side burgers, hot dogs and french fries good, morning breakfast omelettes good , bacon was very limited. Worst experience was the subtle lead into sales of the "Solaris Club Memberships", which started with questioning poor facility conditions ,much like the SJD airport high pressure time share hawkers. Showing staged rooms in like new condition, unlike the regularly used rooms. This is a beautiful small facility, we paid for beachfront and it was a beautiful view , but dated in need of repair and maintenance. I hope the management team gets it together because we would go back if they make the necessary improvements. I will rely on future guest comments to see.

I stayed here for a week and hotel was nice and comfortable, its all inclusive but the food is flavorless, bland, and worst of all COLD, only decent thing when it comes to food at this hotel is the breakfast in the morning. Other than that the buffet and the restaurant which you (have) to get reservations to dine in are bad. I was exited about unlimited drinks that come with the all inclusive but please be prepared to get water down version of your favorite drinks, all the liquor that is offered at this hotel tastes the same so that was a big let down. 4 out of 10 experience

Staff, pools, gardens were all great. This resort used to be owned and managed by Barcelo. GR Solaris only owned it for a few months. We saw many great improvements in the facility. Remodels, new store, fixing and painting things, etc. However, the one very important negative change is the food. It was very subpar, quality and the way food was combined. Also most was cold. The Italian restaurant was very good (the food highlight of the week)as was the breakfast. The Mexican restaurant was so bad we walked out. With that said, we feel like the management is working on improvements, and we will return if we feel that others report better quality of food. We love the resort, the location, and the staff. Hopefully the new company will make it as wonderful as it could be.

The entertainment people (Rolfi, Sebastian, Scarlette and the rest) were great. Also, the waiters and bartenders were very good! The people in reception were very helpful. Also, I had a massage from Erica- it was wonderful!

Just came back from my trip Feb 16th 2024 and the stay there was amazing. Staff is supper friendly and very kind. They are always happy to help and very accommodating. Food was excellent and drinks were very good as well. Would definitely vacation here again!

Check-in was quick and easy. Our room was located in the main building which had a very partial ocean view: it was mostly blocked by trees. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Buffet choices were excellent and we were satisfied with the a la carte restaurants Our fave a la carte was the Mexican one. The activities and shows were fun, but were under attended. Our only complaints are the dishwater coffee and the buffet hot food was often warm to luke warm. Make sure you bring your towel down at sunrise to get a lounge!

GR Solaris Lighthouse is a fantastic resort that offers a quiet, beautiful, and clean atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The beach is absolutely stunning, ideal for long, peaceful walks along the shore. The rooms are well-appointed with comfortable beds, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The food was good, with a variety of options to choose from. However, the service at the breakfast buffet could be improved, as it was a bit slow when it came to getting coffee or tea. Despite this, the overall experience was excellent. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sky Bar in the lighthouse—breathtaking views and a great ambiance made it a must-visit spot. The only minor downside was the lack of clear signage leading to the Sushi Restaurant, which made it a bit tricky to find. Overall, GR Solar Lighthouse is a fantastic resort, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful vacation spot. I would definitely return!

There is no entertainment past 7 pm. The food was not very good, we had to have our meals off site. The music was terrible by the pool, it’s more for the 55 and over crowd. The room we booked was the exact opposite of what we got and they refused to change rooms until the last night. We were asked to do a time share tour multiple times a day. The only thing that really stood out for us is Marcella the bar tender, she was great and made good drinks.

The food was delicious, plenty of options (including Gluten Free options) even with few a la carte restaurants on site. The location was perfect for whale watching, from the infinity pool and beach front. The resort was spotless and kept clean at all times. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Si! And Sebastian, the entertainment coordinator was a lot of fun! 10/10, would stay again!

Got seated and no water or service for the first 30 min. Then the guest experience manager Sofia came by (who is the only good thing about the service last night) and finally got us water and service. Our server was no existent. She needs more training or less tables. Thank you Sofia for making my friends birthday special!!
