“I had a wonderful experience at Finca El Tambor. It’s located in the middle of nature and is very clean. Suzy is helpful and responsive. The restaurant, Ivanno, serves delicious food, and the owner is a great host. I do wish I had known beforehand about the long walk and the hill leading to the property. Along the way, I also wish there had been more lighting. That said, I really appreciated the flashlight provided in the house—it was very helpful when I arrived late from Antigua or left early……

“Do not book here. Literally no customer service. Signs are not clear on where the hotel is. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds ever. You’re better off sleeping in a hostel for cheaper. There’s two night clubs that blast music all night; which is what was expected. But the clubs were super lame overall. You’re pretty much in a room with a double bed and that’s all to it. They didn’t even give me an official room number. The views were okay. Pretty much what you see is that you get. One……

“Great house. Very well maintained, clean and beautiful. Great location. Less than a 5 minute walk from Calle Santander where a lot of the action is in Panajachel. I will definitely stay here again.”
