Pros: The dining staff, concierge, pool security, spa and night manager were all outstanding. The food in the restaurants (Nectar, Rustica and the ice cream shop) was outstanding. Outdoor bar and drinks were fast and delicious and the free sample of the signature pina colada was outstanding. The restaurant and tour recommendations were also outstanding. It's a great location if you want to be close to but not on the strip and the beach is private which I also liked. Towel service at the beach and pool was excellent.
Cons: Service was VERY slow. My room key didn't work and I had to wait on line with people checking in. Took a half an hour to get my key with 1 person working and I had to get ready for dinner. They should have had an extra person for a quick situation like that. The walls are very thin so I could hear people in the next room having a party and I couldn't sleep. This was after catching an 8am flight that morning. The manager switched my room without question and it was handled very well. The rooms are a little run down for a Hilton property. You could hear the AC dripping inside some type of locked closet. The service at the indoor bar was not only very slow but my food came out cold. There was also a bag fee to hold my suitcases which I felt was unnecessary. I paid enough to stay at the hotel and don't like to be nickle and dimed, especially since I paid a tip.
