Stayed for a week and were extremely happy with the hotel. It is gorgeous, clean, and the staff are wonderful. It was a once-in-a-lifetime quality vacation, and the price wasn’t unreasonable for the fantastic stay we had.
The hotel is like being on a movie set. It’s that beautiful. It’s also a destination spot for the young, wealthy and model-esque crowd on weekend happy hours and nights, so make sure you bring some upscale wardrobe choices if you stay here. It also caters mostly to adults-we didn’t see pool noodles or play areas here.
The downsides were few: there is no beach to speak of (but there are 4 pools), there was only one hook in the bathroom of our room to hang wet towels on, the only in-room mirrors with enough light to see yourself in were in the bathroom, and the hotel dining and bar options were extremely expensive compared to offsite choices (although they were excellent).
The upsides of this hotel offset some of those complaints: the room was quiet, spacious and well-stocked with towels and snacks; the location was within steps of dozens of great restaurants, bars and lagoon activities; and we didn’t have trouble getting deck chairs by the pools every day (thank you to Morgan who set us up several times). There is also a small convenience store onsite for necessities, and a shop for clothing/souvenirs offers higher-priced but beautiful items for purchase.
We would happily stay here again. It made our vacation memorable, trouble-free and luxurious.
