Extremely Disappointing Stay at Hyatt Place Bayamon
Our weekend stay at Hyatt Place Bayamon was an utter disaster. We arrived with high expectations, but were quickly disappointed by the poor quality of the hotel. We were placed in a room with a musty, unpleasant odor—something you would never expect from a supposed "quality" hotel.
What made matters worse was the complete lack of attention to detail. We checked in at 10 PM and were forced to wait until 11 PM for the crib we requested for our 6-month-old baby to be delivered to our room. Despite leaving a clear note on Expedia asking for this in advance, no one bothered to acknowledge or fulfill this simple request.
On top of that, the service was abysmal. Karel, the front desk attendant, was beyond rude. His attitude was dismissive and disrespectful, making our check-in experience unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant. It’s hard to understand how someone with such poor customer service skills could be employed at a hotel of this caliber.
The biggest issue here is the way Expedia continues to list hotels like this. The Hyatt Place Bayamon does not meet basic standards for cleanliness, service, or guest care, and I would not recommend staying here to anyone, especially families with young children. We will never be returning, and I urge anyone considering this hotel to think twice before booking.
