Wonderful overall. First night, ac unit didn’t work I just figured that we got there later in the afternoon and it was muggy. It wasn’t until the morning that it just never cooled enough. I just happened to get a room that had a leaky ac unit. It was fixed the first time within mins when i mentioned to housekeeping. It did start leaking a few days later. I mentioned the front desk on my last day since the ac unit was cooling the rest of the time.

The property does not reflect pictures on-line, very old style rooms, no bedspread, dirty shower and bathroom. I slept in my clothing, glad it was one-night only, enroute to cruise.

We absolutely loved our stay at La Terraza in Old San Juan! You can walk to everything. We had breakfast on the rooftop and I highly recommend the Avocado Toast. Delicious. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We will be back!

Love this property. So quiet and quintessential old San Juan feel. Rooftop is such a peaceful beautiful retreat. Everyone is so lovely and kind.

Old and not the minimum like TV or Internet did work. The building really needs a renovation . The staff is trying hard but in the condition the building it is hopeless. Better cleaning would help at least a little.

Staff wasn't nice, need to take customer service classes or re-watch the videos. Rude at check-in and didn't even ask us about our stay when we checked out. They appeared annoyed that we were on vacation. The pool is tiny, it should say dipping pool. Though if you're looking for a place to stay in Old San Juan, for the money you get a clean bed.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. The rooftop space was amazing too. We found this hotel and the area just stunning. The down side- Parking is a bit of a thing since you need to park at a nearby garage, and the bed was really uncomfortable- fine for a night but would be tough for a longer stay.

The entrance way and ground floor is beautiful. Our room was unique and could have been amazing if the property was maintained better. We had no hot water in our room until the last day we were there so 1 day out of 4. We heard everything from front desk that they would have someone out to fix it that afternoon or they forgot to turn the water heater on at 6am. There was a hole in the ceiling of the shower and there was dirt / dust in the window seals and shutters.The matress was very very well worn caved in on either side with a hump in the middle. Don't get me started on the pool. This by far is not a luxury hotel as they claim. Its charming but by no means luxury.

In the heart of Old San Juan. Walkable to all sites. Room was big and comfy. Breakfast was extra charge ($15-20/plate) but good and made fresh, setting on the rooftop terrace was nice, but service was kinda slow. A/C could only be controlled by the front desk.

We checked in, with the impression these were updated rooms. We got a room that was not updated. Very tired clean but so worn down especially in the shower. No covers on the window so you would be up at 6 o’clock in the morning with the sun coming in. We asked for a room change. The first thing is oh we have nothing in your price range. I said no problem looking to upgrade all we have no rooms available. Unfortunately, it’s a really cute hotel, but our room was spacious. According to the pictures you have a bed skirt and we had an exposed boxspring. We had a TV that couldn’t get current live stations, and very difficult to use with the remote we asked for help and they basically rolled her shoulders and said no idea. Highly disappointing because we still paid Canadian money but it still cost us over $700 for two nights.

The hotel was unique with lots of character being an old Spanish building. We had to ask everyday for clean washcloths. The last day we came back and found a termite infestation in the rooms. There were hundreds of these black bugs crawling everywhere, including the bed. Not a good ending to our stay.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean and the area was quiet. Very walkable to everything around Old San Juan. Even a thirty minute walk from Escambron beach. I lived my experience here and definitely will be returning next time I am in San Juan.
