“Property met our needs as it is near some great golf--ten minutes form the Black Mesa course. Kathryn was an amazing host. She is an outstanding communicator and an incredible source of local knowledge--stores, restaurants, activities, local history. Not a traditional property--words like funky, eccentric, or unique come to mind--but I use these words in a good way. “We’ve stayed in many vacation homes and they usually fall into two categories A- you feel like your staying at a friend or strangers home or B- you feel like your staying in your own private home. This property, host and even neighbors make you feel like it’s your home. It’s so dialed in, well organized and the ramp up to the trip is so thought out-it’s smooth sailing and you’re off to enjoying vacation. ”

The backyard was a bit overgrown and there were bugs all over one of the outdoor chairs, but there is a picnic table out there, which we made good use of while my son-in-law was fishing. Note that there is not a washer and dryer, so bring enough clothes for your entire stay unless you want to spend your time going to a laundromat. A Keurig machine would be a great addition! “We had a great time. This is close to town, trails, restaurants, the new urban trail and only 45 minutes to Santa Fe. We enjoy being able to use the heat pump, a new experience for us, so quiet. The host Vicki was quick to address the Wi-Fi problem as quickly as possible. I was able to get on my work meeting after she added the mobile device. “This adobe sits amid the most beautiful vistas in Abiquiu area. The artistic intent is evident in the charming adobe, from the hewn wood beams and trim, rock walls and walkway, stone shower, and SW decor. I was looking for solitude and found it here. Very close to O’Keefe museum, Plaza Blanca and Ghost Ranch. On clear nights, the constellations were too many to count as the Milky Way arched over the casita. Perfect for a getaway for 1-2 people.
