“This property was well-maintained, and well-equipped. The host, Lori, was so helpful throughout our stay. She even dropped off a Christmas tree so that we could decorate for the holiday! The proximity to Red River, Taos, and Angel Fire makes this a great location for someone who wants easy access to multiple ski hills. If off-roading is your thing, you should check out the Cabresto Lake nearby via forest roads. Beautiful views, and very secluded. I would highly recommend this property!”

“The cabin is lovely and relaxing. It is isolated enough to enjoy the solitude of the land around you without being far from a neighbor. The location was perfect for us who had family staying at different venues from a hotel in Trinidad to camper camping at the creek a couple of miles up the road. Of the different cabin type places to stay - this one is exceptionally lovely. We would definitely stay again.”

I can see from the listing pictures that the owners have changed some furniture (chairs, bed frame) but we loved the layout of the cabin, the furniture is sturdy, taken care of and in good condition. They were readily available-met us when we parked at the lodge to escort us to our cabin; brought us extra towels, TP, soap when asked. We definitely recommend staying at this property, and would be happy to stay in any other……

“Great views of the mountains! Perfect for a couple who want to be off the grid. Things I wish I would have known ahead of time: no WiFi on property (which makes tv unusable unless you have cell service up there - we did not), no washer/dryer, no dishwasher, gas fireplace doesn’t work, and minimal indoor lighting. Property was super clean though, beds were comfy, towels were super soft, property was quiet, and the views are unbeatable. If you want to be glamping and totally off grid, this is the……
