- I accidentally booked with an expired card, totally my mistake. However, they called at 8AM to tell me I only had three hours to call back with a different card number or my booking would be cancelled. I had a late night the night before and was trying to get some sleep before our long road trip that day, isn’t the general rule of thumb to not call until 9AM? Again, totally my mistake in providing the wrong card number, but I selected that I would be paying at the property, why did I need to be woken up in the morning to give a new card number? It’s not like I would have been able to get to the room without paying, and their check in is at 4PM. They also called back again shortly after because they got the card number I gave them wrong, and the lady acted like it was my fault for saying my number too fast.
- the check in process was weird. I just told them my name and they gave me the room keys. They didn’t even ask to see my ID and I didn’t sign anything? Very odd.
- the location was great!
- the rooms were fine. Small and not especially modern, but adequate.
- uncomfortable beds and thin walls, we could hear our room neighbors talking and running the TV, we were even woken up by a vibrating cell phone from next door!
- aggressive signs in the room saying they’ll charge if you stain a towel and charging for a late check-out, it felt a little aggressive and excessive.
