I took my husband to dinner at the Michelin- starrred restaurant at Justin Winery for his birthday and we wanted to stay in Paso Robles instead of the winery itself, and I greatly regret that. This was supposed to be a 4-star hotel and I felt like we were staying at a VERY overpriced 3-star roadside motel. The central courtyard area is nice, which is why all their marketing photos are of this area, but that's it. I drove by the place when we pulled up because I couldn't believe the outside was our hotel. The buildings are so ugly and tacky from the outside. Our check-in experience was bordering on unfriendly, and the staff certainly doesn't act like they work at a 4-star hotel. Our room was so overpriced and we couldn't sleep because we could hear everything going on at the rooms above and next to us. This place apparently is a party place for drunk people in their 50s. People had their TVs blaring and were laughing and talking until after 3AM. The restaurant, which is advertised as a "nice" steak place was so loud from the live music that it felt like a cowboy bar, not a place you go to have a nice dinner with someone you want to talk to and hear. Paso Robles is cute, but super small and not a lot of hotel options. I would not stay here again though. ESPECIALLY for those prices.
