To begin with, we experienced a significant pricing discrepancy related to our children’s ages. Although we correctly inputed their ages (both over 2 years old) during the booking process, they were incorrectly classified as “babies,” resulting in unexpected charges at check-in. To make matters worse, we were asked to pay at the current daily rate rather than having the charges aligned with our original booking date. Despite trying to resolve this at the hotel, support from both customer service and hotel staff was minimal, leaving us feeling disregarded and disappointed. We had paid specifically for a sea view room for a personal reason but were given a view of a footpath instead. While we were eventually offered a new room, it wasn’t until the evening of our second day—by which point we had unpacked and our children were settled. The delayed offer did little to resolve the issue or compensate for the inconvenience. We were also disappointed to learn that while the child pricing bracket covers ages 2 to 12, the children’s activities were restricted to children aged 3 and above. This important detail is not highlighted on your website nor through booking. This has meant our children could not participate despite being charged full child’s rate. Furthermore, overall food quality and service also fell short. There were persistent flies around the buffet area, which raised hygiene concerns. This is not a five star hotel.

Another fantastic stay at the Bahía Príncipe Fantasía in Chafiras. The staff is wonderful and the facilities are always kept up to an outstanding standard (we saw NO DIFFERENCE in two years). The food has also greatly improved since our last stay (it was great then, now it’s fantastic). Our little one loved it and we did too! We will be back.

Fue una estamciauy buena. Hotel muy nuevo, instalaciones limpias, habitación amplia, camas muy cómodas. El personal es su punto más fuerte son todos cercanos, simpáticos, serviciales y efectivos. La animación de los niños espectaculares, super cariñosos con ellos. La comida del buffet y los restaurantes muy buena. En general le doy una nota muy alta. Como observación personal creo deberían promocionar el hotel para público español porque estar allí es como si se saliera de España. Éramos 4 españoles y el resto sobre todo británicos, mis hijos iban buscando niños com los que interactuar y jugar pero era difícil.

A Wonderful Stay with Family-Friendly Charm Our time at Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife was fantastic and truly memorable! The resort is absolutely stunning, with the iconic castle adding a magical touch that both kids and adults appreciated. The grounds are immaculate, and the attention to detail in the design is remarkable. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. We loved waking up to gorgeous views of the ocean and lush resort scenery. The housekeeping staff kept everything spotless and well-maintained. The all-inclusive dining options were top-notch, with a variety of cuisines to suit every palate. The themed nights in the restaurants were a highlight, offering exciting and diverse dining experiences. While the nightly shows around the castle were visually appealing, we felt they could have been more engaging. However, the activities for kids and the daytime entertainment were fantastic, making this an ideal destination for families. The pools were incredible—clean, well-kept, and with ample seating. It was easy to find a relaxing spot under the sun or join in the fun with the kids in the water play areas. Overall, Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife is an exceptional resort, perfect for families or anyone seeking a luxurious and enjoyable getaway. We left feeling relaxed and happy, and we would absolutely recommend it despite the minor shortcomings in the night shows!

L’hôtel propose de belles infrastructures et des animations de qualité, mais plusieurs aspects sont très décevants pour un 5 étoiles. La restauration est le plus gros point faible : la nourriture est industrielle, peu variée, et la qualité laisse à désirer, surtout pour les enfants (frites, nuggets, boules de fromage, hamburgers). L’ambiance dans les restaurants est désagréable : le niveau sonore est très élevé, en partie à cause du personnel qui manipule bruyamment la vaisselle. L’organisation des repas est à revoir : le buffet est vite bondé et l’attente devient longue si on ne vient pas dès l’ouverture. Le « tout inclus » est limité : il n’y a plus rien à manger après 21h30 jusqu’à 7h30, ce qui est frustrant pour les familles. Autour de la piscine, il est difficile de trouver un transat disponible, beaucoup étant « réservés » avec des serviettes mais restent inoccupés. Côté chambre, l’insonorisation est insuffisante : on entend les bruits des couloirs et des chambres voisines, ce qui nuit au repos. Enfin, le jour du départ, la femme de ménage nous a demandé de quitter la chambre avant l’heure officielle du check-out, ce qui n’est pas acceptable. En résumé, un hôtel correct pour les animations, mais la restauration, l’organisation et le service ne sont pas du tout au niveau d’un 5 étoiles.

Very nice room and property. A lot of swimming pools. They are heated, yet the 1st plunge was still quite cold. The heavy winds at times did make it feel even colder. When the sun was out, this was less of a factor. There are 3 a la carte restaurants, you need the room number to book, this was for our stay unfortunately only possible for 2 of 3 on the last 2 days even though we tried to book immediately upon receiving the room number the 1st day. The volume of the entertainment was loud. In the bar the live bands were using a volume that could have suited an outdoor festival, which made us leave earlier than we would if the music would have been less loud. Although it is not allowed to reserve beds around the pool, if you look outside as from 7 in the morning, a lot of people are laying down towels. We did manage to find a spot each day without this practice, though it was sometimes a challenge to get even 2 beds without a towel (no people). I personally would have taken away all the towels that were laid down prior to 10:00 if no people were on them. The food was very nice and the selection changed each day. Delicious pizza and the kids buffet was much to the linking of our children. Sometimes you have to queue to get inside and be seated, yet this usually goes quite quick. There is a lot of noise in the dining room as the acoustics could be better, some sound dampening elements on the ceilings and partitions between sections could go a long way. We would definitely return.
