“A perfect place for a couple and one single to stay in Sandsend. Very well equipped kitchen with all you could possibly need. The property was really warm and cosy for our New Year stay and the check in process using the key code on the safe box was so easy. You enter through a communal door - don't be put off by the entrance hall which could do with a bit of TLC to bring it up to the standard of the Beachside apartment - guess that is out of the jurisdiction of the owners of the individual……

“A great holiday home in a perfect central location. Bigger than expected which was a nice surprise with a gorgeous bathroom. Warm & cosy with plenty of hot water for baths & showers. Lots of original features and a secret little outside hideaway sun trap at the back perfect for a morning cuppa. Easy to unload luggage despite being such a narrow one way road and lovely and clean through out. Can highly recommend. The constant contact with the friendly host was reassuring and the surprise early……

“The apartment was very well fitted out, the staff were lovely very helpful, it is a little far from town and took us a while to find the local supermarket, maybe some instructions on how to work the job and parking was an issue, we went out for the day and had to park quite a walk away, but on the whole we loved it and were very comfortable 😊”

“Just had a 3 night stay. The cottage is very well located with the sea and pub within a few yards away. Anne (the host) was very responsive and provided all details. “The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.”

“We had an amazing week at Misty Cottage over the Christmas week. The cottage was fully equipped and gave 3 generations the space that was needed. The bedroom off the kitchen was perfect for nanny who often wakes early and needs a cuppa and the double and twin rooms on the top floor felt like a little private flat. All rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. What stands out for us is the location. With Whitby town and the beach on your doorstep it was perfect for our dog walks and……

“I booked the wrong week like a moron. Pauline was still able to accommodate even though I didn’t notice until about noon the day we arrived. It’s a very well done barn conversion. It was great having an enclosed yard for the dog. You can’t beat the price and we even got to feed the alpacas.”

“Lighthouse was absolutely perfect for a group pf x 3 friends to enjoy time together. What`s not to like about sea views, coastal walking and glorious sunshine ? Internally the lighthouse is tastefully themed all things "sea", comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Fabulous.”

“Overall the apartment was lovely, the leisure facilities we're good as we had them to ourselves, but if I was to be picky the TV signal needs to be sorted out as only had about 6 channels to watch which was BBC1, BBC2, parliament and CBeebies and local Radio - not a great choice but made do. Parking was easy as on-street parking available at a cost of £2 50 for 2 days. Would certainly return in the future 😊”
