“My 2 sisters and I are in our early 70’s. After doing the Bridge Walk we wanted to spend the night somewhere unique and that is exactly what the Skoolies are. Very clean, modern and more spacious than you would expect in a school bus. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well supplied, overall very nice. Only downside for us was outdoor spray showers with no enclosure (we washed off in bathroom sink). But would definitely stay again if occasion arises! Big thank you to Omar and Julie! ”

“The BIG house is indeed spacious and was extremely clean! We enjoyed grilling and sitting out on the upper and lower deck/patio. The river view is calm and serene! Although the owners are very transparent about the train noise (…it was indeed loud and numerous!), I wish there was more transparency with the proximity to the General Store, which includes a gas station. “Everything was as pictured! The bus location is closer to the other bus than imagined, but no one was occupying the space. This was a home away from home in a secluded area. It was a nice hilly drive to get to the property. We didnt have starter wood for the fire and within 15 minutes someone came by on 4 wheelers and delivered some! The stay did not disappoint. If I could stay for a month I would. Bring bug repellant! ”

“I can't say enough great things! This little cabin was so peaceful, exactly what my dogs and I needed! The place is old but well maintained, just what you would expect in a mountain cabin! The yard was cut and easy to walk my dogs in! There is a fire pit and grill, we didnt use them because my one dog is older and gets cold easily. The location is superb! If you want to check out the activities to the north, easy! Same with activities to the south! We got in 3 good hikes over 2 days. Karen was……

“The only downside to this stay was the inaccurate information given on my hotels.com reservation regarding calling the property 24 hours in advance to receive the access codes for entry. The host actually sends you a text on the day of your arrival with that information. The hotel has no parking, it's street parking only, which really wasn't a problem since we could pull up in front of the building and unload. Glad we were on the first floor - there's a long staircase to the second floor. ……

“If you need a roof over your head for a few days this is perfect for you. The staff was friendly, the area was quiet. The bedding was clean, the water was hot, and there were no bugs. There is a bit of a funky smell but nothing a bit of fabreeze couldn't tackle.”

“Amazing place. I did not expect much from the photo of the outside of the house but was just amazed at how huge my room was and how lovely!!! Super clean, great bed, living room and bedroom! This is a hidden jewel of a stay! ”
