Wattle Haven is located very close to the beach in stunning Sandy Point. The long, sweeping
beaches surrounding Sandy Point have breathtaking mountain views of Wilsons Promontory
National Park. The beaches are perfect for surfing, boogie boarding and swimming. There is
a patrolled section of the beach in summer.
The house is a pet and family friendly beach house, perfectly located at the end of a quiet
court. Wattle Haven is connected to the NBN with unlimited data and it's a 5-minute walk to
the beautiful foreshore, Ned Neale's Lookout and a year-round off-lead beach area for dogs.
Only a 10-minute drive away, nestled between Waratah Bay and the majestic peaks of
Wilsons Promontory, the sheltered waters of Shallow Inlet provide a peaceful setting for a
range of water-based activities such as fishing, boating, kayaking, windsurfing and standup
paddleboarding.
Wattle Haven's newly renovated kitchen opens onto a large open plan dining and living
area, with a cosy woodfire and split system air conditioning system, making it a great
getaway location all-year-round.
The bathroom has a bath, basin and shower, a separate toilet off the laundry.
There are 3 bedrooms sleeping a total of 9 people (option to sleep a 10th person on a trundle
bed).
Linen is not provided at this property, guests must bring their own linen and towels

While the property is fully furnished and well equipped, it may not have all appliances and equipment you may be used to using. We apologise if this causes inconvenience.

You have use of the entire house and yard. Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.
- Neighbourhood
Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approximately 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory.
The property is located close to the main beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. Waratah Bay Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events.
Launch your boat at Shallow Inlet, just a short 5 minute drive. It's famous for wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing.
The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, petrol, gas, bottle shop and an Australia Post outlet.
A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade (seasonal).
Playgrounds, Tennis courts (equipment can be hired from the General Store), Half basketball court & public bbq areas are located next to the Sandy Point Community Centre.
The Sandy Point Community Centre hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer.
Sandy Point is a great base for exploring the local region. With Wilsons Promontory a short drive away, you can enjoy a range of short and long hikes that include breath taking beaches, rivers and wildlife encounters.
The historic towns of Fish Creek, Walkerville, Foster, Toora and Meeniyan are an easy drive away, offering outstanding local produce, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and wineries.
Also in easy reach is the historic Cape Liptrap Lighthouse and Walkerville Lime Kilns at the famous Magic Beach, Walkerville South.
The Great Southern Rail Trail (131kms) runs from Nyora to Yarram and can be accessed at Fish Creek, it's ideal for biking or walking.
- Getting Around
Sandy Point is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car.
- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
