“My siblings and I were there from Missouri for my father’s Celebration of Life. The Dan River property was just what the doctor ordered: peaceful and serene. The property is a perfect private hideaway with room to move and think. The home housed myself and my five siblings comfortably…very homey with loads of charm and character. I hope this property is available every time I plan to visit the Ararat area!”

“Great communication with host Mark before and during stay. He was super friendly, always available, and anticipated all of our needs without being intrusive. We were a group of three professional women attending a conference at Wake Forest University, which was a straighforward drive from the house. Besides the house, we LOVED the yard and appreciated the exercise room. Highly recommend! ”

“Very nice, clean house on a quiet property. We had a lot of fun with ping pong and mini golf, and the bedrooms were great. We enjoyed the town of King, too. Highly recommend!”

“This home was perfect for us and extended family. With 4 bedrooms, we all had our own space. Jennifer was always quick to reply, easy to talk with, and very accommodating. The dock and water gear were perfect with a private cove to swim in. It felt like we had the whole lake to ourself. I would definitely stay again!”

“What a great property that met all of our needs. Great location to the state park for hiking. Easy drive to Pinnacle for a wedding and to Mt Airy to site see. House was clean, clear communication with the owner, and great spot to enjoy your cup of coffee in the country. ”

“I'm not even sure I can think of anything negative to say about this place, especially considering some of the other places we've rented before. They have nearly everything you could need in the kitchen (except cold condiments LOL but that would be weird maybe...) The location is amazing, especially if you're planning to go tubing down the Dan River. It's great for small kids since there's only 1 floor and no stairs inside. (Listing did say there was kids' toys/playground, but didn't find……

“Was looking for somewhere away from the city for a quiet and peaceful stay. This was it to the T. Loved the privacy and neatness of the property. Was very easy going to check in and stay. Slept well each night with no disturbances. Was easy to get in and out to my office each day for business. About 15 minute drive into GSO area for my work. Will return! ”
