“From the moment we arrived, the Shirleys Retreat team welcomed us with open arms! The house itself had everything one could possibly need and more. The location was very convenient and safe and the excursions suggested were perfect. While offering us transportation options, having a helpful host and also fresh bread to order, everything was in place for perfect, relaxing vacation. We cannot wait to come back! We cannot suggest this VRBO enough. ”

“The house was well appointed and had plenty of space for four people. Ample privacy as the bedrooms/bathrooms were at were at opposite sides. Great conveniences such as washer and dryer. A car is a necessity if you stay here as it in the countryside, but the area is quiet and peaceful. Everybody we encountered in the local community was friendly. We would suggest a toaster in the kitchen, but with all dishes, pots/pans provided it was a minor inconvenience. Our only complaint was the fact we had……

There are more small decor touches around the inside of the rental that give it a more homey feel; from convenient shelves, nightstands, dresser space, to the new deck next to the pool! The deck definitely makes the pool even more inviting and usable. Good for relaxing with coffee in the morning, sunning during the day, and relaxing in the evening with some music and a beer or cocktail. I already look forward to my next visit. “My cousin and i visited Trinidad for a 5 day trip. Nice cozy home in gated community. After long days of driving around and doing wildlife photos this was a great place to have to come back and relax. Comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Plenty of food, grocery and shopping right across from the entrance of the community. Community is right off the main highway. Easy to get east and west. Great AC units. Wifi and smart TV were great for Netflix/streaming and socials. I would pick this place again……

“I recently stayed at this property in the heart of Chaguanas and had a pleasant experience. The neighborhood is safe and conveniently located, making it easy to explore the area. Having a private parking lot was a definite plus, especially in such a central location. The space was clean and cozy—perfect for a short stay. However, it might be a bit small for longer visits or business trips where more room is needed, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, I recommend this place……
