Enjoy your Sanibel Island vacation getaway at Sundial D306, located at Sundial Beach Resort on the East-end of Sanibel Island. This island resort condo with elevator access, features a spacious open concept living area and kitchen that is perfect for families, entertaining, or enjoying as a couple! Sundial Beach Resort has several dining options on-site, is a short drive to the Sanibel Lighthouse Beach and Fishing Pier and is just a few minutes to the Heart of Sanibel where you will find an abundance of restaurant options, boutique shops, and more - easily accessible by bike or car! Your adventure in paradise awaits...

The Sundial West property will continue to be under repair and with active construction in all buildings, you may experience construction noise during your stay. Please also note that elevators and pools may not be available in every building. We recommend inquiring about the current status of the elevators prior to booking.

Sundial Resort passes are available for purchase that would allow guests to utilize the resort pool. ** Dining, and Tiki Bar are all open and available for public use. Guests may also purchase access to the resort pool. Guests are welcome to inquire with us prior to booking for current pricing for resort pool use and also availability of Sundial West amenities.

Featuring a sleeper sofa, one-bedroom, and one bathroom, Sundial D306 can sleep up to four guests, and includes plenty of space to gather! During your time at this island retreat, enjoy Gulf breezes from your large picture sliding window (no balcony), relax in the immaculately maintained community swimming pools, and play a round or more of tennis at the on-site tennis courts! Of course, spending time on Sanibel's powdery beaches cannot be missed. Feel free to use the provided beach towels and beach equipment as you head to the beach - just steps away!

Construction Dust Bowl

Building D is one of many on the Sundial property undergoing renovation after hurricane Ian. Unlike several others, it is absolutely not in condition to accept guests and the listing comment minimizing construction does not represent the situation on the ground. This rental is utterly misrepresented. Beach access requires passing through a paid pool area; much of the traditional beach access is fenced off. It is not "steps away". The community pool adjacent to the unit is under construction. The unit lacked 'starter kit' amenities (coffee, etc). The kitchen outlets were nonfunctional and the kitchen sink is a rust bucket. Multiple stains on the bedroom carpet. The 'ocean breezes from the large picture sliding window' overlooked latrines and a construction dust bowl. The bathroom hot water faucet did not run. I could go on.We called immediately upon check-in and the host dismissed our concerns. Thereafter, they did not respond to email requests.The pile-on fees were exorbitant. I am happy to share invoices.We left after a single miserable night and would like to be compensated for this disgraceful experience. We are certainly hoping that others read this review and don't find themselves in a similar position.

Relaxing Vacation

Very comfortable one bedroom condo but kitchen is small. Needed to stand on a step stool to reach the plates which were stored over the refrigerator. Lovely pool. Easy stroll to the beach.

The condo was clean, very nicely furnished, and provided amenities for the beach, i.e. chairs and an umbrella which we used every day. There are elevators, so we didn't have to carry our luggage up the stairs.

Always a treat!

We've become big fans of Sundial over the years -- nice combination of amenities and value. There's nothing like being able to start the day with a walk along the beautiful beach, then coming back to the unit to make some breakfast before hitting the pool, touring, or shopping. This unit was nice and spacious, well-equipped and comfortable.

Place was spotless. The property was nice and quiet. There was an elevator--important for the 3rd floor. You can see the water from the living room by looking to the left. I realized I really missed having a balcony or lanai. TV in living room worked; the one in the bedroom had no signal. Bathtub drained very slowly. Tub has no grab bar or rubber mat. This is a slip and fall hazard, and should be easy to remedy. Wifi signal was strong and easy to connect to. Overall very nice stay.

We LOVED this condo!!! The location was PERFECT and the condo was AMAZING!!!

We booked our vacation about 3 weeks before going and it was our first trip to Sanibel. I was a little nervous since we had never been before and ever used VRBO but EVERY SINGLE step of the process was easy!!! The instructions that were emailed to us the week we were coming down were perfect, easy to understand and made getting to Sanibel at midnight a simple process. And we were BEYOND THRILLED with this condo! The location was GREAT, the condo was VERY CLEAN and stocked with everything we needed for our week vacation! The shelling right on the beach in front of the condo was amazing!! We loved the location and quietness of the pool and used it every day we were there. The condo had all the comforts of home for us to cook a couple of meals after long beach days when we were too lazy to leave! We rented bikes and that was a great way to see the island, we biked miles and miles and it was awesome!!!! We went to a few different beaches and even went over to Captiva! We hit a couple restaurants that were really good, The Fish House, George and Wendy’s, The Lighthouse Cafe and the Hibachi Restaurant right at the Sundial. This was an excellent vacation and we cannot wait to go back!!!

Lovely Condo

Everything was was fine except for filthy dishes. Put them all in dishwasher to discover that it was not working correctly. The dishwasher was replaced immediately. Everything else was fine. Kitchen is well equipped with everything needed. There is a regular coffee maker NOT a keurig, for those of you wondering. Bring an alarm clock if you like to know the time in the bedroom. Mattress was very comfy but pillows are flat. It was everything we needed for a comfy stay like home. Don't forget to visit the Farmer's Market for fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood on Sunday mornings off Dunlop.

Condo very well equipped for our month long stay. Bedroom lacked a clock so we bought one to use. Only negative of Sundial Resort is the elevators are too small for any type of cart to move in/out belongings. Difficult for older guests. Pool and beach are delightful!

Decent place close to the water

My wife and I stayed for a week get away without the kids- we have stayed in the Ft. Myers area many times and usually use another major online booking app but went with VRBO this time. One reason for the 3 star rating was due to the management company and booking process. When I submitted my time requests, I was emailed and told to call for the better rates. When I did call, the person I dealt with seemed to be pulling the classic bait and switch on rates- basically post one rate, call them to get it and then tell you it's more expensive. Anyway, I booked the rate online without issue but was not pleased with the process. In fairness to the rental management company, they were helpful when my wife was locked out. With respect to the property- it is a small one bedroom condo - clean- about as big as a one bedroom suite at a hotel. The amenities are spartan but helpful- cooking utensils and pans lacking. The one bathroom was small and bath slow to drain but all worked fine. The bed soft but fine- there is no step out balcony as we were told by management co. The furniture needs cleaned- has a sheen of old sunscreen and whatever else from kids I assume- was not nasty but we used the extra set of sheets to cover. The location in relation to the water is excellent and the pool is nice. I think this place is perfect for a couple or family with one- maybe two small kids. If you are not there much (as you shouldn't be as SI is beautiful) you probably can make it work with older kids but its not huge. TVs fine with cable and wifi worked well. For the price, this worked for us. I am not sure we will return to this property but certainly possible. If the experience to book and place had a few more amenities, could warrant a 4 star rating. If you want a place close to the water and dont need a plush room, this works fine. We were there during off season- high season probably more noise etc.
