I booked a room with two queen beds about two weeks in advance for my best friend’s birthday. It was a great location—close to downtown and K1 Speed, which made it easy for us to go barhopping and celebrate. The place itself was clean and the setup was nice.
However, the service was disappointing. When we checked in, the front desk lady seemed unengaged and somewhat disrespectful. She gave us a king bed instead of the two queen beds I reserved. When I went back to clarify, she didn’t seem helpful or apologetic. I ended up sleeping on the couch while my friend took the bed, which was frustrating.
The next morning, we were supposed to have free breakfast included, but we had to wait a long time just to place our order. When the menu came, it had prices, and I had to clarify again that our stay included breakfast. It felt disorganized. I also asked one waiter if they had cream or half-and-half and he said they only had black coffee, but another waiter later said they did have half-and-half. It was confusing and felt a bit careless.
Overall, the hotel has a good reputation, and the building is clean, but this particular experience with the staff and service didn’t live up to the standard.
