On the outside, the hotel looks beautiful, a clean white resort with lovely grounds and a nice pool. The real highlight, however, is the staff. Jasmine at reception was absolutely wonderful and a huge credit to the hotel. The bar staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately, despite the nice exterior and great service, there are a lot of flaws that really let the experience down:
• Drinks: Cocktails were mostly ice and sugary syrups. Even though we were on the all-inclusive plan, many drinks like ginger ale and bottled water weren’t included, which felt frustrating especially when you have to walk to the supermarket for basics like water. It really defeats the purpose of going all-inclusive.
• Food: Very disappointing. It was often cold, unimaginative, tasteless, and extremely repetitive. Sometimes food appeared hot on the outside but was still frozen inside, like it hadn’t been properly heated through. We ended up paying extra for nachos at the bar just to have something decent to eat again, defeating the point of all-inclusive.
• Room issues: We only received one bottle of water in our room even though there were two of us, and the espresso pods were never refilled. The shower head also didn’t work properly, which was another letdown.
Would I return?
Probably, simply because it’s likely the best option in the area. The resort has good enough facilities and lovely staff, but next time, I wouldn’t bother with the all-inclusive. I’d rather eat out to get de
