This hotel is a great place to stay in downtown Santa Fe. But more than that, I was so impressed with how focused everyone was on making sure we were comfortable and happy, and that starts with the management, who also looks after their employees first.
Besides the comfortable bed and room, they have a sherry, tea and cookie hour from 4-5, which was quite welcome after cold days sightseeing. The guests gather and mingle during that hour while warming up in front of a fireplace or playing some games on the table where the game board is.
The breakfast is amazing. We stayed for 7 nights and ate breakfast there every day. The food at Del Charro was also excellent, though the hotel is within walking distance of many amazing restaurants. We've stayed in lots of hotels, but this one specialized in making us feel like we were home.
I cannot recommend Inn of the Governors highly enough. The price is right and the stay was fabulous.
