The room was a tad small and the water pressure was null and void. Other than that this place was a good stay. The proximity to grocery stores and amenities was the best part. Breakfast was nice. The pool was closed the whole time so can’t speak to that.

The entire hotel was under renovation to the walkways outside of the hotel rooms. Workers started outside of our room at nine o’clock in the mornings. No discount for this inconvenience. Loud voices and banging during construction of walkway banisters.

1st it is a motel not a HOTEL. At check-in I asked where the pool was. The person at the front desk pointed it out on the map, it was closed, had been for some time, waiting for city inspector. At time of making reservation asked for a handicap room, did not have any. No shampoo in room, that's a small thing. Tried calling the front desk 2 different times, let the phone ring 15-20 times (each ) with no answer. Made the reservation about 10 days before arrival, I feel I should have been contacted about no handicap room. Bottom line is I will not stay here again nor recommend this motel to anyone. Should have stayed at motel 6. Over priced for a cheap motel.

I was charged a $50 "deposit" on my credit card which was supposed to be refunded on checkout. It's now 2 days later and so far no refund. The morning front desk staffer on 5/19/25 was rude and unhelpful. When checking in, we were told we get coffee when leaving at 6:30 am. The morning clerk rudely kept repeating "Breakfast starts at 7:00." Won't be staying there again.

Location was good for walking to dinner. Tables outside to sit at with morning coffee was nice. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. No ice machines were found, the bathroom wall had some deterioration at the corner where floor, wall and tub met, the breakfast area ran out of scrambled eggs so we went elsewhere and did not utilize the "free breakfast."

Staff at front desk cold and rude. Filthy bathroom, construction everywhere for a high price. Best Western was probably better kept up than this place. The doorknob and key mechanism to room main door was loose snd seemed like it was about to fall off. They don’t clean your room unless you specifically ask for it each day. Walls are paper thin. Filthy bed runner on bed.

Let's start with the good things: The room was relatively nice, although the bathrooms could be upgraded. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. The not-so-good things: They were in the middle of renovations, so there was constant hammering and drilling from 9:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The Wifi and hairdryer didn't work in the room.

The rooms were very basic and there is a resort fee of $15 for things like access to basic amenities. The staff was very rude and unfriendly instead of railings on the second floor access there was plywood nailed there are no signs to direct to stairs and other features of the hotel. The sign calls it a concept hotel not sure what the concept is for the place.

After checking in we were charged an amenities fee. 4 things a hotel normally doesn’t charge for. We were told housekeeping was every other day! Not acceptable. After a fuss, we had our room made up every day. We asked for a light to be fixed in our room, never happened. The tv remote stopped working. Breakfast serviceable, but usually cold. I guess it’s true when they say you get what you pay for. If thinking about staying at The Sage, ask a lot of questions before booking!! And read the fine print on Expedia if booking through them.
