Historic Van Keppel Ranch

Summary:
Enjoy peace and quiet on this historic 50 acre ranch in the beautiful Bennett Valley. Property includes a newly renovated 4 bedroom/3 bath home with decks overlooking seasonal pond and surrounding wildlife, two historic barns and your own meadow.

The Space:
The home is perched on a hillside with 270 degree views and floor to ceiling windows in the common areas decorated in a modern, minimalist style. The hot tub on it's own dedicated deck is set at 103 degrees.

Guest Access:
The Van Keppel Ranch includes a seasonal pond with dock, acres of meadowland, heritage oak trees, three natural springs, access to Taylor Mountain Regional Park affording miles of hiking, and unobstructed views of the surrounding valley and Mt. Saint Helena to the north. Two historic barns are home to a family of barn owls. Deer and turkey roam the property.

The Neighborhood:
Van Keppel Ranch is located just outside the city limits of Santa Rosa which makes it both convenient and serene. You are 2 minutes from Bennett Valley Golf Course, 5 minutes from Whole Foods, 15 minutes from Graton Casino, 20 minutes from the town of Sonoma, 30 minutes from Calistoga, and only 1 hour drive from San Francisco. But you will feel miles away from everything.

Getting Around:
While there is no public transportation serving the property, guests will enjoy easy access to Hwy 101 to San Francisco and Bennett Valley Road connecting you to the rest of Sonoma.

Other Things to Note:
Extensive outdoor lighting makes the property come alive at night highlighting the barns and oak trees surrounding the house as well as the pathway leading to a dock overlooking the pond.
There is a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom as well as a separate studio with ensuite bathroom in addition to the 2 bedrooms sharing one bath.
The house is also equipped with central heating and air conditioning. However, please note that we limit the temperature settings using a Nest thermostat between 69-75 degrees.

We came in town for a family wedding. The house easily fits 3 couples, 4 if they are comfortable sharing a hall bathroom. The location is really great! Ride sharing vehicles had no problem finding the house. You feel like you are on a remote ranch, but you are really only 5 minutes from amenities! The views are amazing!

we had a fantastic stay here last weekend! We hosted friends and family pre wedding festivities and everyone was incredibly complimentary of the location, the decor and the functionality of the house. The location served as an amazing backdrop for our first look and family portraits. This property is amazing. Exceeded our expectations. Nine girlfriends gathered to celebrate 50th birthdays. There was plenty of space for everyone. The views were amazing. A country setting but still close to town.

We stayed here with a group of 12 for a bachelorette. The property is very clean and all the appliances work as listed. The only issue is that the bathrooms are set up in such a way that of someone is showering, they have to close off the whole bathrooms from anyone else since there is no privacy wall between the shower and the sinks. That makes it just a little tough with so many people staying there. But overall we loved the place, the views are breathtaking, everything is clean, easy to use, and works well! It’s a pretty adorable taste and well situated to go to wineries like Sterling, Castillo, Rombauer etc. in Calistoga and St Helena area. Over all loved it and would highly recommend for large groups!

Gorgeous property in Santa Rosa! Stayed here with 12 other girls for my sister's bachelorette party. It was truly the perfect place for our weekend! Beautiful views inside and out of the house, plenty of seating/beds. We had so much fun sitting on the deck by the fire pit each night. Would definitely recommend!

Pulling up to this property was such a lovely experience. The horses and turkeys were meandering around the grounds. The house is beautiful. Has great lighting and views. Loved the porch with the gas fireplace. Perfect spot for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. We had 9 in our party and we all had a comfortable place to sleep with plenty of bedding. The kitchenware was plentiful. The hot tub is a nice touch. Overall, I was very impressed with the property. Communication with the property manager was easy and the response was quick. Would definitely rent again.

The house was perfect for our group of 11 for a bachelorette weekend. The views were amazing, loved the wild turkeys. Had everything we needed for quick breakfasts and a short drive to many restaurants and vineyards. Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed the serene setting and lovely views. The fireplace, firepit and hot tub made our trip cozy. One suggestion for the living room is to mount the tv in a more central place if possible, instead of to one side of the room. Marvie was a fabulous host and responded promptly to all inquiries.

Wonderful Stay at this beautiful property . We were visiting the are for a few days . This place was perfect for relaxation and also very conveniently located to come of the wineries . The property is very private but it also provides easy access to supermarket and restaurants within 1 mile which is very convenient.

As anyone who has organized an event knows, the hardest thing when planning is communication between all party members. So, it was such a relief to work with this property when organizing my sister's bachelorette party. The property responded to all my messages within 10 minutes before and during our stay. Any issues that arose, were quickly addressed. They communicated when a service repair person was coming to the house, and had the property manager on site. There were plenty of towels, linens, and beds for the 12 adults staying at the house. The house was clean and all the directions were clear for check in/out. The view from all the windows set a very tranquil mood and the side deck was a perfect spot for our on site "paint and sip" provided by Painted Cellars Sonoma County. The bride to be was incredibly pleased and all of the guests hope to make this trip (at this house) an annual event.
