“This is an ancient city. It was fascinating to stay in one of the caves where people have lived for over 4000 years. But recently upgraded to modern day comforts and safety. The bedroom/living area is well appointed. The kitchen had everything one needed, and the bathroom had a shower in the cave wall that was as unusual as the city. I enjoyed my stay very much.”

“Matera was our first stop on our Italy Trip. This property is spacious, well located in the center with spectacular views across the old town. Parking is near by, we paid 25 euros for each 24 hours, so 50 euros total, which was easy walk with case and no steps, which was ideal for us. Restaurant right next door done a fantastic breakfast and lunch salad which was reasonably priced. There are lots of places to eat around Matera so eating out was not a problem.
