Recently reimagined and refurnished, The Preserve is the ultimate country oasis that will allow you to take advantage of all the Hudson Valley has to offer. The property is a short drive from the eclectic food scenes of downtown Saugerties and Woodstock and 5 minutes from new resorts and spas such as Autocamp and Piaule.

Immediately pulling into the driveway, you'll be wowed by the beautiful landscapes and mountain views. As you step through the front door, you can't help but notice the open layout and abundant windows allowing the sun to shine through. With multiple sitting areas throughout the home including the formal living area, media nook with a 65" flat screen smart TV, and sunroom equipped with chess and backgammon, there's plenty of space for family and friends to catch up or simply relax with your favorite book. For the chefs of the group, the kitchen has just been stocked with the latest in stainless steel appliances or head outside to the gas BBQ, perfect for creating that culinary masterpiece. Not to mention your private sitting area and ensuite bathroom with your own wet bar and sauna! The primary also has a large round daybed, perfect for kids! Down the hall is the Junior Primary Suite also equipped with your own ensuite bath, sitting area, and balcony. The third bedroom, also on the second floor, is equipped with a full size bed and desk allowing you to stay connected if needed. The fourth bedroom is located on the third floor with another king bed and panoramic mountain views, as well as a sliding barn door for privacy from the rest of the 3rd floor common area. The 3rd floor common area has a large queen daybed with twin trundle as well as a folding queen bed for all the kiddos to cozy up in for a fun sleepover after playing all the games the home has to offer.

With multiple outdoor spaces, including private balconies and a pool deck, there's plenty of room to soak in the fresh air and take in the stunning views. Cleaning Disclaimer: One end of stay cleaning is included in the reservation total. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory. In-stay cleanings are the guest's expense.

Additional Guests: Additional persons are prohibited unless express approval is provided. An additional persons fee of $300.00 per person per night may be required.

Pool Disclaimer: Due to the climate of the northeastern U.S., outdoor pools and attached hot tubs will typically only be available for use from Memorial Day to Labor Day. If your booking falls outside of that time frame and you intend to use the pool/hot tub, please be sure to inquire if they will be available for use prior to booking.

When open, pool heating is capped at 80 degrees. Guests can pay an additional nightly utility to allow heating of up to 87 degrees.
For energy conservation purposes, the pool heater may only be operational from 8am to 6pm.

Hot Tub Disclaimer: Available all year

Off-Season Disclaimer: It is typical that spring cleanings and updates do not take place until late April / early May. If your booking falls outside of Memorial Day to Labor Day, please inquire as to whether or not outdoor furniture and equipment will be available for use prior to booking.

Payment/Refund Policy: Unless otherwise stated on the property listing, all payments are non-refundable, however, should the guest elect to cancel its reservation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner of the property to reopen the dates of the reservation in attempt to re-book the property (please note the decision to reopen dates is the owners'). Should Marquis be successful in re-booking the property for the original dates at the same or higher price than the original reservation, a refund less a 20% penalty, calculated as 20% on the total reservation amount, will be issued to the guest once payment is collected in full for the new reservation. If a new reservation is not made, the guest may use the property for the dates of its original reservation so long as payments have been made in accordance with the payment schedule established at the time of booking and Marquis is notified in writing 72 hours or more prior to the start of the reservation.

Note: All payments must be made prior to check-in

Payment Method: Balance payments made with credit card are capped at $3,500. Payments over $3,500 shall be made by check, ACH or wire.

Security Deposit Disclaimer: Although rare, accidental damage does happen during a stay. In lieu of a security deposit, guests can rest easy knowing that this property is covered with up to $5,000 of damage protection. Coverage details are provided in the booking agreement.

While StayMarquis manages this listing, the guest experience is managed by the owner of this property, meaning all property preparation, arrival coordination, in-stay communication, and requests for maintenance tasks are performed by the owner. However, StayMarquis will provide you with a "Guest Experience Manager" who can help facilitate any request, from grocery shopping to organizing a private chef.

Very Expensive and BAD experience

Upon arrival, the house was unbearably hot, although we managed to cool it down after an hour; at this price point, the house should have central AC. There were bugs inside. The fridge was leaking, causing a mess in the kitchen, and the dishwasher was unplugged. The glass on all the doors was filthy, giving the whole place a neglected feel. The pans are completely worn out. Additionally, there is a room on the third floor that looks like it came from a horror movie—it’s covered in mold, has only a bed, and looks like it was used for something sinister and the lack of proper cooling due to a small portable AC. This situation limited the use of the hole 3rd floor, obligating guests sharing the other rooms. The outside area was extremely dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and also the landscaping wasn’t done with lot of overgrown weeds all around.. Paying $2400 per day for a property in such condition is completely unacceptable.
