“We had a wonderful stay at this cabin and enjoyed our time at the little lake. I had booked it for my wife's birthday and we were there with our two children (ages 8 & 11). The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Dishes, utensils, cookware, grills, kayaks, life jackets, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. The amenities were abundant and thoughtful. We enjoyed the little private dock, kayaking around the lake, swimming, and fishing, although we didn't catch anything. The evenings……

“Such a cosy charming cottage, just perfect for us. The cottage itself was spotless, decorated in vintage cottage style, with comfortable bedding (thank you for the step stool), plentiful towels, warm water. Kitchen had everything needed to cook or bake. The property is meticulously landscaped with interesting trees and plants. Integrated well with the adjacent Forrest. Loved meeting Josh and learning all about the surrounding areas. Would defenately return to this lovely home.”

“Gorgeous property on a beautiful body of water! Not used to walking that many stairs… but it was definitely worth it! My husband & I took 5 teenagers with us for the week & hauled our pontoon. Easy access to put the boat in just across the cove. The only thing that was tad difficult/tricky was getting in & out of the driveway, especially with such a large boat/trailer. Overall, an excellent stay & would love to do it again! ”

In fact the name of your road is named after one of my ancestors. 200 years of our family history within 5 miles of your vacation home. The house is perfect and the view is unmatched. Highly recommend staying here if you are coming to the Clayton area. You won't be disappointed.”

The cabin is lovely, comfortable l, and well-appointed. We loved spending time on the dock and enjoying the porch swing. The deep water location are perfectly for swimming and paddle boarding. We loved our stay at Contentment Cabin and hope to return! ”

“Clean, quiet and relaxing cabin. Everything you need. Firewood for the campfire was nice and dry, had a couple of good fires. Will definitely return on our next trip to the area. ”

“This is a lovely house by the river, at the end of a dirt road! It’s peaceful and relaxing, the porch was awesome, the kitchen is updated and modern, the extra bathroom was small but nice to have at the upstairs bedroom, the host was quick to respond and very helpful giving us an extra day when I messed up my schedule so I highly recommend this property!!”

“We were affected by wildfires in our area and Connie made the home available on short notice and went out of her way to ensure the house was cleaned and ready! She was so easy to communicate with and the hope was immaculate! It is in an area of the lake that we are very familiar with and know many people in the area. The house easily sleeps large families or friends and has a great layout to allow for privacy if you have large groups or two families! The dock is easily accessible and there……

“Phenomenal location; if you are looking for a remote, peaceful setting this is it. My husband and I, along with our dog took this trip after a very long, hard year of cancer treatments and it was so healing to just sit on the rockers on the porch, listening to the Chauga river. There was a sparrow who made a nest under the porch and we watched her hunt worms to feed her babies. Cabin has a rustic feel, exactly what we were looking for. Ver private. We went on several hikes at local waterfalls……

“Picture perfect home next to a mountain brook. The home is well appointed and maintained. We had very pleasant evenings in the nicely landscaped yard with a fire pit and room for the kids to play. The location is really, really nice. While the home is quiet and remote it is also centrally located when it comes to the area attractions (lakes, parks, etc). In addition to the hiking, we spent time on Lake Jocassee, went horseback riding and zip lining. The Twin Falls waterfall is a 15 minute walk……
