“We were unable to access the accommodation: upon arrival, we found ourselves in front of code boxes, no response to calls to the owner between 4 PM and 5 PM, no calls from him despite the message left on voicemail in English, no email indicating the codes. In short, unable to leave 2 children in the blazing sun, we were forced to book another hotel and lose the money for this rental. “Overall this is a really nice apartment and the staff were prompt to respond and also help with some minor issues we had during the stay. The only real complaints were that we lacked pillows (only two very small pillows, fortunately we had packed our own) and that the apartment had no A/C. I understand that lack of AC is quite common in Europe and likely it wouldn't be an issue 95% of the time, but we were there during a bit of a minor heatwave and the last two days were particularly warm and……
