“This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Oberammergau. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast excellent and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We stayed here in 2023 and again this past July in 2025. The hotel is conveniently located in Oberammergau and is an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. If we ever return to Oberammergau we would definitely stay here again. ”

“Hotel Tonihof is a beautiful, charming, classical Bavarian hotel. The view are stunning. The staff couldn't be more helpful, our room was well equipped and traditional. It's the antithesis of a modern chain hotel, we stayed in 9 hotels in two weeks in Germany and Poland and Tonihof was by far the most memorable.”

“This lodging was exactly as the pictures show! Each cottage has everything you will need for a night stay or a week long stay; plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, toaster, mini fridge, etc. It was easy to get into after hours with the door code that was given via email the day of arrival, clean, updated, and the views are amazing. Coming from the United States I was concerned about communication with the staff, but they were all VERY friendly, spoke English, and very prompt in email……

Die persönliche Ansprache mit "Du" mag sympathisch wirken, doch dazu gehört aus unserer Sicht auch, dass man umfassend informiert wird. Leider fehlten einige wichtige Informationen: Wir wurden z. B. nicht darüber informiert, dass Bademäntel und Handtücher für den Wellnessbereich an der Rezeption geholt werden……
