551 Tarpon Pond
This awesome Tarpon Pond is in the perfect location. Nestled in lush tropical landscaping in the Tarpon Pond neighborhood, it offers wonderful views to the 17th fairway of Ocean Winds and the marsh beyond. Deer, shore birds, egrets... wildlife surrounds you. And yet, you and your guests are less than a mile away from Seabrook's beautiful beaches and top notch amenities - Beach Club pools, dining at the Pelican Nest or Island House, or golf on the two Seabrook golf courses.
The cottage has been beautifully renovated. Enter into the combined living/dining rooms. An open floor plan with cathedral ceilings help create a relaxing space for your family and friends to gather. The living room has new furnishings, an HDTV with cable/DVD, and a lovely fireplace. The living/dining room open into the sun room. A wall of windows overlooks the golf course and allow filtered sunlight to brighten the home. There is a table for four - a great place to enjoy a cool afternoon drink - a sofa and another TV that can be used for games, watch DVDs, and a VCR. The small deck has chairs for relaxing outdoors. The galley kitchen has Silestone countertops and newer appliances. It is fully equipped with everything you need. There is a gas grill for your use too. Linens and towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels).
There are 3 bedrooms and a loft which serves as the fourth bedroom. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, lovely furnishings and an en suite bath with a shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen sized bed and the third bedroom has a queen bed. These bedrooms share a hall bath with a tub/shower and large Silestone vanity. The loft serves as the 4th bedroom and it has two twin beds.
*Seabrook Island Property Association (SIPOA) has started charging for all gate passes.
Gate passes are $45/ vehicle. This charge applies if you are staying 1 night – 179 nights. If you are staying more than 179 nights, there is a different charge.
MAXIMUM number of passenger vehicles which may be parked during the overnight hours of 11 pm-7am, which require a gate pass: 3
The first gate pass is included in your stay. You must call our office if you require more than one gate pass
LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) RENTALS PERMITTED at this property. An LSV requires the use of one of the gate passes included in the maximum number of vehicles passes.
Requirements for LSVs
Must be registered and insured, have a 17-digit VIN and display an LSV license plate, display a valid SIPOA entry pass issued specifically to that vehicle. Drivers must have a valid driver's license. No off-road tires allowed
Usage Restrictions:
For street use only. No use on bicycle paths, walking paths, golf course cart paths, boardwalks, or beaches. Follow SIPOA vehicle and parking rules.
Safety Requirements: SC seat belt laws apply to all occupants. Child seats are a must. SIPOA officers and CCSO will stop vehicles with unsecured children
Pets are NOT allowed
This cottage is .8 miles from Pelican Beach and 1.3 miles to the Beach Club pools, golf, and club dining. Amenity Cards are required to use the Seabrook Island Club and SIPOA Lake House facilities. This property includes access to the Club amenities: the Beach Club oceanfront pools (seasonal), Pelican's Nest outdoor restaurant/bar (seasonal), Island House restaurant/bar, golf and tennis. Additional fees are charged for all activities except outdoor pool usage. The Club Amenity Card also allows access to the Lake House facilities (outdoor pool/no fees; indoor pool/fitness center/fees apply). Amenity cards are arranged through the Seabrook Island Amenity office.

Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you receive your funds back, minus $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, you lose your funds. If able to re-book it, you will receive what we rent it for, minus the $250. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
For monthly winter rentals the policy is as follows: For cancellation made up to 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a $250.00 cancellation fee. For cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, all monies are forfeited. If able to rent the contracted dates after a cancellation, Guest will be refunded an amount equal to new rental rate minus the $250 Cancellation Fee. The amount refunded is not to exceed the amount paid by the Guest under the terms of the Rental Agreement.
