Summary:
Cul-De-Sac newly updated 3 bed/2 bath rambler on nearly quarter acre in the Queensborough neighborhood. Open floorplan includes living room, formal dining, kitchen, and a game room w/bar area. Freshly painted and new LVP flooring throughout. Kitchen features new quartz countertops. Tankless hot water and allowed RV/boat parking with easy access from Hubbard road. High speed internet perfect for WFH need. Minutes to Alderwood mall area for convienent grocery shopping, dining and entertainment.

Don’t Book

The neighborhood was uncomfortable, the house smelled awful and didn’t feel clean. Immediately upon arrival we contacted the host to cancel for these reasons and were met with a lack of help. We booked another rental in the area similar priced and immensely better where this property fell below where we felt comfortable staying with our family. Do not book here.

Has Potential but Needs a Refresh

The house is simple but functional. The location worked for us because it was near our family. They left coffee and plenty of TP. Communication was good with the host. The downside: It was clean on the surface but not great. The sofa was heavily stained and not anything you'd want to sit on. It was clear the master bed sheets had not been changed. Wet towels were left on the bed, folded as if they were usable. I looked for an extra set of king sheets and there were none so I had to wash the sheets. The linens need a refresh. The sheets and bedspreads were old and flimsy. No extra blankets. Old pillows. No sheets for the pull-out sofa in the study to use for a child. The throw blanket had not been washed between guests. For these reasons, I would not stay there again. The street is not bad but the neighbor's house is a big problem. They keep a literal junkyard on the front lawn which is an eye sore and raises questions about security. Overall, this property has potential but owners need to do a reboot.

Open concept kitchen, dining and living space.

The property is not fancy, but suited our needs. There is a large open space where my family was able to gather. My biggest complaint would be the next door neighbor whose property looked like a junk yard.

Nicely Furnished

The good: Furnishings were nice and new, beds quite soft but comfortable, nice TV, home was clean, water pressure was good, generous amounts of consumables like paper goods, well-appointed kitchen, sheets included for the portable crib, nice fenced backyard for dogs or kids. The less good: I loved that they had an iron/garment steamer combo, that was a very thoughtful inclusion (we were in town for a wedding) but there was no ironing board or convenient place to hang clothes to steam them. We'd intended to use the pull-out sofa in the office for our son, but there were no sheets for it, so we put him in the included portable crib. Not a huge deal for us, but worth knowing before your stay if you need that bed. Most importantly, on arrival there were a few plug in air fresheners around the house, and the aroma was *heavy.* I unplugged them for our stay, but it took nearly two days for the house to only mostly air out. If you are scent sensitive, this would not be the booking for you. The next door neighbor is also... a character, to put it mildly. I would not have felt comfortable staying without my husband with us after a couple sort of bizarre interactions. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the checkin and checkout process was a breeze, the house is in a convenient location and the price is fair for what you get. Chemical air fresheners give me migraines, so I would not stay again for that reason, but aside from that, all complaints quite small.

Quiet stay with all we needed

The house has had some nice upgrades done. Check-in was simple. Enjoyed being far enough outside the city especially since it was a busy night in downtown Seattle. Everything was easy to use and the space is large enough to have all the family. The backyard is huge, it would be nice to have some outdoor furniture to enjoy it.
