Had a WONDERFUL affordable stay last night. Front desk was kind and great and told me to return the next night if I was still looking. The culinary director and another manager even introduced themselves when I was departing, thanking me. It was such great customer service!
I did return. However, this time I was met with being denied a room based on havihg a 'Seattle address'. 'It's the policy' the manager on duty of the evening or 4/30/25 said. I asked, how can that be? I paid last night, have the same ID, and was told to return. I pressed him on the policy, pretty certain this 'policy' was created on the fly, based on my having a couple duffel bags and sharing I was between housing. Finally, the explanation the manager on duty gives is 'Locals Mean Trouble.'
Wow.
Stunning display of denying someone access due to deragatory assesment as someone without housing as 'Trouble'.
Sure didn't mind my money the previous night. Absolutely reprehensible treatment
This is not how you treat ‘locals,’ housed or otherwise.
