Nate and his family made sure that every detail was tended to, and I was able to reach them via text when a couple of glitches developed when I first arrived. As I was attending a writer's retreat at the Sou'wester, a 3 minute drive away, and our weather was kind of chilly for much of the stay, returning on my extended breaks gave me a chance to tuck in, make a simple meal, and have a break from the intense engagement.
The extra touches, the beachy feel to the space, the grounds green and well-tended, and safety lights and programmed locks were much appreciated by this solo traveler. Sandpiper in my opinion is best suited for the single rather than a couple as the bathroom is very petite, and dining space for two is somewhat limited. As someone on her own, I loved the coziness of the cottage.
If your primary intent is to be on the beach be aware it's about a 2 mile walk to the Seaview entry off 38th Street. Casual dining and the grocery and fuel are all very close. I'm grateful for the respite at Enchanted Cottages!
