First, let me say that the staff here was very friendly. But the room we stayed in at the left end of the motel had a foul smell, almost like dirty dog, and is in need of some serious cleaning. We immediately noticed our feet sticking to the carpet, and we both avoided walking on it without our shoes. And unfortunately the vinyl tile in the bathroom was even stickier, and the floor around the toilet seemed to be unstable. Additionally, the bathroom window did not have any blinds on it, resulting in anyone being able to totally see in. The staff came and put one up, but it didn't cover the sides of the window.
We were also informed that there was no wi-fi available in our room, even though it was an amenity that we paid for. They said if we needed internet, we can come to the office area. But I like to listen internet radio at night to help me go to sleep, so that was of no use unless I set up a bed in their office. We would have refused the room and gone elsewhere, but we checked in late in the afternoon, so it was too late to make other arrangements.
The other problem was that the TV remote did not work. Either the batteries were dead or it was the wrong remote for the TV. We had to manually turn the TV on/off and manually change the volume and channels on the side of the TV. It was very inconvenient and could have been avoided if they had checked to make sure the remote worked for the guests.
On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, but we would not stay here again.
