Overall, not a bad property, but I think there could be some improvements and updating, especially with the pictures. Although the property doesn't claim to be on the lake, the pictures are definitely misleading, as the lake is across a major road. We did walk down there and stayed for a few minutes. The condition was not very good and the dock is merely moments from falling into the lake. There were also remnants and bottles/cans from previous renters still there. Inside the house, the first thing we noticed was the entire wall of windows facing the lake was no longer an entire wall of windows but 2 sliding doors now. They must have changed this and never bothered to update the photos, thus removing a big portion of the view. This was disappointing to us, as the pictures of that view is partly what sold us. The entire property could use some fixing up. The decks, stairs, outdoor chairs, picnic table, etc are in very poor shape and we ended up not enjoying any part of this section of the rental. Inside was clean and adequate, although there's definitely a mildew/mold problem somewhere as it was noticeable by all as soon as we entered the home. We had a garbage bag in the kitchen garbage, but with 8 renters, it filled up after a few days and we couldn't find any other bags. I reached out to the owner/contact only to find out that the number provided by Evolve and VRBO was not to the actual owner/contact.

Wanted to love it

Property had a strong musty smell that really bothered us. There were other minor issues that just disappointed.We have stayed at many high price point rentals, so had expectations that the accommodations and amenities would be much better than what we found.Property is in good location and beautiful views (although right on 55mph very busy road).House looked to have had some improvements, but more to do.

Great place!!

Visited the beautiful wineries this weekend and very happy with our stay!! Quiet, clean, and the view is spectacular!! Love the fall decorations and the complimentary wine was a nice surprise!!

July weekend finger lakes trip

The place was nicely remolded and looked like the photos. However, there was a terrible bug problem. You could not open the doors once it got dark out because hundreds of bugs would get in!! The counter tops would be filled with dead bugs the next morning. We would have to clean and vacuum a bunch of times. They seem to be trying to fix it by putting bug lights in the house. However, the location of one was on the kitchen counter, so it would end covered in bugs. The location was great and the property was nice. I do not recommend staying until something is done about the bugs getting it.

Nice house, still needs a little work

This was a nice place to stay in a very pretty area! You can tell that the owners are fixing it up, but probably still have some more work to do. Especially on the exterior. Overall, clean and easy for a trip when we weren't going to be in the house a lot.

Dont ever stay here

Pictures are inaccurate. Place was dirty with mold in the bathrooms and closets. garbage cans on the dock were full of beer cans. Should have been 99/night for the condition of the place. Will never use Evolve again

Beautiful property!

We loved our stay at Lakeside Providence. We enjoyed all the amenities & especially loved the fire pit in the evenings. Our only negative comment is that while the house has a beautiful view of Cayuga lake, you have to cross very busy route 89 to get to the lake and dock.

Two day getaway

The house was in a great location with a beautiful view of the lake. The outdoor amenities at the house we’re great and the kitchen was well stocked. When you cross the road to the dock you do need to be careful of the traffic. Overall this was a perfect location to explore the Finger Lakes area.

A Lovely Property with Great Lake Views

We had a family get-together that started with 10 people in the house. The house is incredibly comfortable with a truly great deck. The house was well appointed and clean. The lakeside dock area is fantastic, but you are well aware of speedy traffic on the road. A heron stopped by the dock most mornings! The sleeping situation was definitely more comfortable after one couple left. 8 was no problem, but 10 adults was a squeeze. It is probably different with kids. The manager was awesome and very responsive. Would rent again.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay! Pictures don’t do the property justice. We had a good sized group and were all very comfortable in the spacious house. The outside deck area was a great little spot to hang out and grill. Spectacular views of the lake! Hope to be back one day!

Awesome time!

Everything was wonderful. Mostly the property manager and home owner both where accommodating for a last minute issue. Brandon also went out of his way to do a thorough breakdown of information on questions about local activities. House was beautiful and clean. Everyone had an awesome time. Great Lake getaway

Thus was a wonderful getaway with friends. The house was exactly as described and had everything we needed to escape our own homes and spend a weekend floating our cares away in the lake! The owner provided a lot of a great information about the area and things to do. But honestly, we didn’t feel the need to don anything other than relax in this beautiful home!

As a family, we had a good time together. The inside of the property is nice and the view of Cayuga Lake is lovey (although the shower curtain was GROSS). Also, it is a far stretch to say this is a four bedroom cottage. Furthermore, the outside of the cottage and the amenities need attention and care.

Wonderful weekend getaway

Spent a lovely extended weekend in this cottage. The space fit our group perfectly and the dock allowed us to spend plenty of time in the lake! Bug spray is a definite must! Everyone had an absolute blast and we look forward to our next finger lakes weekend!

Enjoyed our stay! Great location and fun decor in this cottage. Just a few things I will mention

Overall a great stay. just a few small things that would improve your guest stay. Cottage was hard to get up to temperature ...cottage was cold 65 degrees when we arrived, floors very cold. Was able to start a fire that helped make things a little cozier... After we ran out of firewood.. called Cory and was informed firewood not included....Sent out to buy wood 2 general stores nearby neither had wood. that wasted an hour. Next concern to me was travelling with a senior bad knees. In info of cottage maybe t should mention. very steep stairs .hard for elderly mom to get in and out, there is a second deck enterance that we were going to try, but snow not shovelled ever..also hard to access barbecue through snow..even a small path would help. My last suggestion in kitchen lacking basics...ie coffee filters..foil..plastic wrap. and sugar for coffee. also maybe bottled water. I hope these suggestions are helpful as we would certainly stay again! Thanks again

The house smelled of mothballs. The lighting was terrible. A bed broke upon arrival. TV’s did not work. Shower water pressure very poor.
