Stayed here for Clemson’s Parent Weekend. The young man working the night shift was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our stay. The room was extremely small, and the bed was low, hard, and incredibly uncomfortable.
By day three, our room still hadn’t been serviced—no clean towels, toilet paper, or soap. When we asked the woman at the front desk why housekeeping hadn’t come, she responded rudely and repeatedly stated that the hotel only services rooms every other day. We had to explain multiple times that it was day three, and our room hadn’t been touched at all. She finally said she’d send someone, as if she were doing us a favor, rather than acknowledging the oversight.
When you’re paying over $300 a night, you expect better service than this! After we left, we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Charleston and paid about the same—but had a way better experience! The staff was amazing, the rooms were nice, and although housekeeping was also scheduled every other day, they actually followed through. We get it—Parent’s Weekend is always crazy busy—but all we were asking for after three days was for our room to be serviced. Not too much to ask.
