“This was a great property for a family of 13. Plenty of room, a garden for the children to run around and adults to enjoy and a good location with plenty of local attractions.”

The location is ideal—quiet and relaxing, yet conveniently close to everything Stamford has to offer. The house itself was spotless and very well appointed, with all the amenities we could have asked for. From the comfortable beds to the fully stocked kitchen, it’s clear the owners put thought into making sure guests feel right at home. Communication with the owner was excellent……

“Was a big scare when we reached the apartment and found out this was no one there for check in & no instruction sent before our arrival. In this remote location, the mobile connection is bad and I luckily able connected to WiFi in an indian Resturant. Found an old email thread, replied to it and luckily i received a Uk phone number to call for self check in instruction. Felt quite worried at the beginning with my wife and boys and about where we sleep . Not a good experience ”

The Community shop next door and the pub around the corner are great assets. It's a great area for walking, cycling and visiting. we would highly recommend the property.”

“Thank you for a wonderful stay at Rivernene Cottages. Hosts Stephen and Phil were amazing and could not do enough for all the guests. We stayed in the Yew Tree Cottage, as a family of 4 (2 teenagers) this was perfect! The entire place is immaculately kept. The sweeping garden was a great place to chill out by the bank of the river as well as the delightful heated pool which was used many times during our stay! “Good points - very dog friendly, easily accessible shared garden area, comfy bed, powerful shower, excellent curry delivered from next door Niggles - large green light permanently on in the ceiling, flooded the whole room with a green glow that kept us awake. Very thin walls which are not great when the guests in the neighbouring room stay up until 2am, no ventilation (no window to open) so very stuffy even in December”

“The house itself is good, comfortable, and fairly reflects the listing, with ample space for a large house party. However, our otherwise enjoyable experience was let down by the lack of attention to detail, in terms of house-keeping and maintenance/repair. When paying a top-end price (about 7k for 4 nights) it was disappointing that several lights did not work (including bathroom lights, dining room main light, bathroom mirror light), the Aga never got up to cooking temperature even after 4 days……
