“The restaurants, especially Oro, were excellent. We did not like the hard sand beach (not soft Caribbean) and very rough surf that made going in the ocean unpleasant.”

“Hidden Gem is a perfect place to relax and just hang by the pool, or recline on the deck facing the ocean. It is not a place where you can step out the door and be on the beach or at a restaurant. If you have a car, Miami Beach is 5 minutes away. We went to Oistens (5 min by car) on a Thursday night and really enjoyed our fish dinner. (The guide books make it sound like it is only on Fridays. “This was our second stay at Meridian Inn and it was just as we remembered. Fantastic location, just at one end of The Gap, but quiet. Close to Dover beach, surf lessons, and many restaurants. We had everything we needed in our room to prepare meals, and were able to enjoy them while seated on our balcony taking in the lovely view. Staff were incredible!
