“Nice quiet hotel. The room was nice and spacious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area was nice and looked well maintained. If I was back in the area I would stay there again. ”

“Clarinda is a halfway point for our trip to our cabin in Missouri. We were looking for an out of the way stop and Clarinda is perfect. The downtown steakhouse was outstanding, and the hotel was a step above the others in town. We will be stopping here again and would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.”

“Scam!!! They say they’re all booked up and only have a king bed available - when we were the only ones there. They only have one room to use. No towels. Office guy took me to laundry- only to get washcloths. He told another guy to go in the room next door for towels. That room had dead cockroaches on the floor and live crawling ones on the bed. We obviously left immediately. Didn’t turn in the card in the rush to get out of there. .Can not reach anyone for help. They give out fake……

“The decor was unique and looked to be recent. Rural wildlife theme was unusual as was the corrugated metal wall coverings.. Electric wood stove space heater was interesting but hard to operate without instructions. Room had a nice recliner. Bed was comfortable. Although it looks to be styled like an old motel, all room doors were internal.”

“Very unique design of the outside with very helpful staff. We had a late check-in from booking while on the road. The lady at the front desk called to see when we were expected to arrive. When we arrived, she was really helpful in getting us a room that would be quiet so we could get a good nights sleep. Our room was cozy and clean. Love the ac in the room, we left the fan on for white noise and had a great nights sleep. Pillows were different than any other I’ve had to use at other……

“Automated check-in (no front desk) worked well. Room was very clean and well appointed. Walking distance(paved path) to cute coffee shop (Fika); next door to Casey’s. Excellent value compared to options in Red Oak AND this motel allows pets. Would stay here again. ”

“The room had everything we needed including enough space to hang towels, high water pressure, personalizeable TV (could use our own streaming log ins). Plenty of parking, fairly quiet (even though on main highway). Microwave, large COLD fridge, counter space, etc. ”
