“I can not say enough good about this property, the owners, or the beautiful and charming setting. The owner reached out to me prior to my visit to ask if I was interested in a room upgrade to one with a waterfront view, at no extra costs, due to a last minute cancellation. When I arrived, I called due to a question, and the owner Wendy was so kind and responsive. The room was so nice and the views were exceptional. “The check-in process was a breeze, keys and welcome packet were waiting at the door when we got there. Ben, the manager, sent emails explaining directions and parking so it was very easy to find where to go. The rental was very clean when we got there, no house keeping due to covid, but all the essentials were provided for us. “The Chesapeake Mansion was even better than it looks on the VRBO listing. Huge house but still managed to feel warm and inviting, never cold or stand-offish. We cooked big dinners for our group of 12 and the kitchen was perfect for that. Billiards room was fun, amazing bar room, also an exercise room. Walking out on the dock was always a treat. “We enjoyed a fantastic weekend at John’s home. The location could not have been better. It is centrally located to restaurants, shops, the Naval Academy and St John’s College.
