“We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation in Takayama! The room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring two large beds and a layout that separates the bedroom from the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet areas. This setup provided both comfort and privacy, making it feel more like a home than a hotel. The location was also excellent—within walking distance to a shopping mall that includes a supermarket, which was very convenient for picking up essentials. It’s not too far from railway……

“The smell in the house is awful everything smells like old mold and nothing is updated. Its very cold downstairs and hot upstairs. If you like smelly clothes and short to railroad this is it. Retro for some people but really paint is not that expensive and some updated heating and cooling would be nice.”

We loved everything about it except for the steep stairs that lead to the second floor sleeping area. There isn't a bathroom on this floor so it can feel a bit treacherous using the bathroom in the middle of the night. ”
