Travelling with 3 kids. We all liked the property. Kids wanted to swim, but the pool is 21-up. The gentleman running the bistro was awesome, and really, his aura made our night. The only real rub (other than the pool) is that you have to park in a parking garage across the street. They have a skybridge, but there is no popping down to the car to grab something real quick. It's a 10-minute ordeal. I understand this is the nature of the beast at a downtown hotel, just something to be aware of. The room was great, but the shower handle came off in my hand while turning it on. No biggie, I fixed it, but the lady at the front basically shrugged when I told her during checkout the next morning. Price was good, but I wish there was an area overlooking the river that doesn't require accessing the casino (no kids allowed). Overall, we'd stay here again. All 3 kids said this was their favorite of the 3 hotels on our road trip.

We travel to Shreveport several times a year, and we have stayed here before without any issues. Sadly, this time was not the same! The wallpaper is peeling off the walls. When we got into the shower, there was some blood in it. Maid service does not come during the duration of your stay (even though we were told different stories by different employees). We booked for over a week. You have to catch them in the hallway to get any kind of towels, trash bags, or soap. The hallways smell like marijuana, but that is probably the least of their worries. A bigger concern is the piece hanging over the roof. Informed the front desk and they didn’t seem concerned. If you are traveling with children, the pool is 21 and over. It was listed as “family friendly” with an outdoor pool listed below that. Definitely not the case. All in all, we will spend our money elsewhere to avoid the hassle of this place again

The hotel is run down. The rooms are not very clean. Our dresser drawers were messed up and would not clise properly. The restaurants (Smokey Joe's & Java Deli) menus were lacking and the food was only okay. At Java deli, the ice cream was melting & the machine used for fancy coffee drinks, we were told had not worked in months. Housekeeping will not make up your room during your stay. If you request fresh towels or trash to be emptied, they bring a trash bag full of towels and new trash can liners for you to take out your own dirty linens and empty your trash. We paid entirely too much for our stay to be treated this way. We will not be back.

Not great. We were turned away from the restaurant for being understaffed. The pool is newly 21 and up, doesn’t say that anywhere on their site, our children we’re disappointed. No one cares to help with anything.
