Very "country feel" location

We loved our stay here! We had our 8 young kids with us and they loved the area. It was fun for them to explore the yard, feed the chickens, watch the sheep, look for bugs and frogs, and eat outside on the deck. The house was really clean and well stocked. It is beautiful inside and out. The beds were very comfortable. It is a fun and scenic drive to get to the house and my kids loved to roller coaster feel of the road getting here.

Solo Deo Spring Retreat

This was our second retreat at this beautiful home and property. It has lovely common areas with good seating for gathering around the table for food and games or in the living room for conversation. The kitchen is well stocked with fun extras. It’s a fun walk down the driveway to look at the livestock.

Awesome for our Ladies Retreat

Lovely gathering spaces. Beautifully decorated. Well stocked kitchen. The bunk beds are kid friendly but not so suitable for adult sleepers. Great country landscape. The complimentary homemade bread and farm fresh eggs were a delicious, gracious surprise. The host was responsive to our questions and needs.

KC Getaway

Excellent property in very relaxing surroundings. Spent 4 days in and around KC and the local area using this place as a central location. Very clean and extremely well equipped house. Everything as advertised, and more. Highly recommend and will stay here again.

Perfect for families!

I am from KC and visit frequently and I feel very relieved to have found this place. Will definitely book again. It was noticeably cleaned by professionals and as a mom of little ones I sincerely appreciated not having to do any extra cleaning before we had dinner and did our nighttime routine. Beautiful Country Home

The house was perfect for all of us! We had 6 adults and 2 children. They loved feeding the chickens & seeing all the animals. They views were amazing and the home had everything you could need.

Great family rental

We had a college friends reunion with 6 adults and 10 kids 6 and under. We felt so at home, plenty of kid friendly plates, cups, etc. in the kitchen, books, and baby gates at the top of both sets of stairs. Two living areas made it nice for kids to play and adult conversation. Quiet location and the animals on the property were super fun as well. Some special homestead touches were left for us as well. Didn’t hear the person staying downstairs the time a car was there. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything you could ask for.

Our family reunion brought nine of us from Atlanta. The pictures did not do justice to this beautiful home. The listing of amenities were only the tip of the iceberg - so many "little things" were awaiting us and were very helpful in making our experience the best. The customer service was immediate when we had only one complaint (the temperature of the house), and was handled immediately offsite all the while being pleasant in the process. This was an extremely professional and well-appointed property that exceeded our high expectations. Feeding chickens, seeing goats and a calf, a "boatload" of WII games, and the quiet country surroundings were a thrill for our young grandchildren.

Great place to stay, plenty of room for our family and for parking. Love the views of the barn and countryside. Close to the city and to restaurants/stores while also away from major traffic.

Amazing Family Getaway

From the moment we stepped into this house, we all felt relaxed and at home. What an immaculately clean and inviting place! The bedrooms were fresh and large, and there was plenty of space for sleeping with comfortable beds and nice linens. The common areas were spacious and had all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, small appliances, an array of spices, oils, assortments of coffees and teas with cream and sugar, lots of plates, bowls, cups, glassware and even stemware! The living room boasts comfy couches, recliners, soft blankets for cuddling, and a huge TV and a Wii with games that my kids had a BLAST playing. We spent many nights playing board games and card games that we found in the closet, and there were even totes of toys, puzzles, and coloring supplies for our younger set. The dining room easily fit all ten of us, and we enjoyed our leisurely evening meals together. One of the highlights was enjoying the idyllic setting at this farm. We gathered around the fire pit to roast hotdogs and marshmallows, and watch the stars in the night sky. Our kids totally got in to feeding the chickens. The house overlooks the orchards, pasture and field leading to the picturesque barn that houses goats, sheep, tiny lambs, geese, and a calf. We took day trips to see the Truman Library, the WWI Memorial, and hit up LOTS of Kansas City BBQ spots. This home is the perfect jumping off point to all the amazing sights to see in the area.

There were 11 of us GPS lead straight to property.Pulled up to beautiful home on hobby farm property. The host family was always available. Homemade bread was on the counter warm when we arrived. 3bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 living areas. Everything we could think of was available. The farm was a huge hit. The kids fed chickens every morning and got to feed sheep, goats & calf. We met with the host and his young son. They were wonderful. This host family is the greatest

Spacious and beautiful!

This lovely house is everything and more that we were hoping for when we booked it. Six women and three young ones, ages ranging from 1 to 72, stayed in this spacious, well-laid out home for a weekend, and it was absolutely perfect! The kitchen, dining and living area were open and made for such a great group gathering. Awesome island and countertop in the kitchen. Incredibly well stocked. The upstairs was also just what we needed with the bedrooms and open area. Plenty of sleeping room, plenty of extra pillows and bedding. It's obvious the owners care about this house and making sure their guests enjoy their stay. And we all did! There were so many nice touches including the cute wraparound front porch. And the homemade bread in the kitchen! So very glad we found this place.

Recommend you book it!

We really enjoyed our stay! We wanted to meet our daughters and their husbands to celebrate the holidays and it was perfect! The kitchen table was the big win for us we wanted to comfortably play board games with the 6 of us and the dining room table was just what we wanted. The only things we didn’t like was it wasn’t as secluded as the pictures made it seem the neighbors were pretty close and a little rowdy at times but it didn’t interfere with anything we did. Also the checkout time being 10am was a max dash for us. Could have definitely used an extra hour or 2.
