“Yellowstone never fails to deliver”

“Silver Gate Lodging is located only 2-3 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. The room has been remodeled and was comfortable. The property manager greeted us promptly at the counter in the General Store. She gave us a quick rundown of other businesses nearby for food, coffee, etc. She offered free internet while sitting on the General Store front porch. The other guests were very friendly with a community type atmosphere around the fire pit. The Log Cabin Cafe across the road is delicious……

“We loved staying here! My only complaint is that the bathroom was downstairs & the toilet was upstairs. Nice location! It was close to Haden Vally. The villages near this property were very cutie and we met a lot of wonderful people & had a wonderful time. Would come back again!”

“The location is perfect if you are spending time in Lamar Valley. Very small rustic cabin, but it worked well for our visit to Yellowstone. Be aware that early in the season there is not much open in Silvergate or nearby Cooke City. Plan dining accordingly. There is a small refrigerator in the cabin, and a coffee pot and microwave.”

“This is an older motel but very clean. It is the perfect place to unplug. Even if you dont want to. This wasn't a big deal for me but it might be for others. The only place the wifi works is at the office/camp store, no cell service and no tv's. It was very relaxing to sit around the camp fire each night. The rooms are clean but small. The shower was also very small.”

“My friend and I enjoyed the cabin and the quaint, small town of Silver Gate and neighboring town of Cooke City!! The location is perfect to begin the beautiful Beartooth Highway to Red Lodge and enter Yellowstone National Park. So interesting to realize that this cabin was a gas station so many years ago!”
