“This property sits right in the small town of Silvergate just outside the entrance to the park. It was a perfect rental if you want to enjoy beautiful surroundings in Montana and Yellowstone park. Marcia, the owner/host could not be friendlier and more knowledgeable about the area. She was fantastic and everyone in the area knows her. The home was comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely look to rent this property the next time we visit this area!!!”

“Silver Gate Lodging is located only 2-3 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. The room has been remodeled and was comfortable. The property manager greeted us promptly at the counter in the General Store. She gave us a quick rundown of other businesses nearby for food, coffee, etc. She offered free internet while sitting on the General Store front porch. The other guests were very friendly with a community type atmosphere around the fire pit. The Log Cabin Cafe across the road is delicious……

“This is an older motel but very clean. It is the perfect place to unplug. Even if you dont want to. This wasn't a big deal for me but it might be for others. The only place the wifi works is at the office/camp store, no cell service and no tv's. It was very relaxing to sit around the camp fire each night. The rooms are clean but small. The shower was also very small.”

“My friend and I enjoyed the cabin and the quaint, small town of Silver Gate and neighboring town of Cooke City!! The location is perfect to begin the beautiful Beartooth Highway to Red Lodge and enter Yellowstone National Park. So interesting to realize that this cabin was a gas station so many years ago!”

“We absolutely loved the house. It was perfect for our family. Spotlessly clean and well stocked. All the beds were comfy. The house is close to the rustic little town of Cooke City and quiet which we like , so no lines or traffic. Close to the Lamar Valley to see lots of bison.”
