It was amazing listening to the birds at 12:30am while soaking in the hot spring fed outdoor spa watching the colorful midnight sunset, priceless! “This property was a modern, clean cottage a few minutes up from Akureyri center. It was not an issue for us to take a few minutes to drive where we wanted to go. The setting is peaceful and offers great views. The home itself was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed except for one seemingly minor but nonetheless annoying thing: the coffee mugs wouldn’t fit under the coffee maker.Aside from that, everything was perfect. The hot tub & neighborhood playground were especially……

The location (quiet solitude, views, surrounded by the horses), all the comforts of home (to sit on a real couch again even lol) and being able to make our own meals and enjoy a private evening in the hot tub were just what I needed.”

“As beautiful as the property was, the condition of the showers were poor and made this stay very hard. We emailed the property owners after the first day that one shower was not draining, and the other shower had a showerhead that was coming out of the wall. They communicated back that they were going to send somebody to fix it, but no one came. The last day of our stay, somebody who looked like a property manager, perhaps showed up at our property unannounced and looking around the property……

“We booked a few nights at the Hidden Cottage and simply loved the place! The cottage is located not far from a village, in a pretty countryside area. The house had everything you needed and the cottage was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. My 13 year old son particularly appreciated the soccer field we had access to!  I recommend this place during your stay in Iceland!”
