“The place is fine. Two BR, one bath, living room, dining area and kitchen. The place might be 100 years old but in good condition. Fireplaces in kitchen and living room provide the heat for the whole house. A for had been started for us and starter materials and matches with sufficient wood was supplied. “Driving into Hjelle through the lakeside tunnel was magical. This repurposed schoolhouse was a fantastic place to experience old-world Norwegian living. Loved the nook beds and touches of history. The modern bath and kitchen were integrated well. The property manager was kind and helpful - he let us know when the early snowfall unexpectedly closed down the mountain pass. Was a great site to just relax and enjoy!”
