“My wife and I spent four nights in this duplex cottage in the town of Hellnar on the Snaefellsbaer Peninsula. We were greeted by an amazing display of the Northern Lights on our first night. The place was comfortable and quiet and had all the amenities needed to feel like home for a few days. The views are stunning--the sea in one direction and mountains and the volcano that dominates the west end of the peninsula in the other. There are several little places to eat within a 5-10 minutes……

“Esse apartamento é simplesmente um sonho perfeito. De frente para o mar vimos muitas aves marinhas e até baleias. Local tranquilo e agradável. O apartmento é bem espaçoso, confortavel e acolhedor. Tem uma linda coleção de livros e uma otima coleçao de CDS, adoramos ficar olhando o mar e ouvindo musica. O charme especial fica por conta da luneta estrategicamente posicionada de frente a grande janela da varanda. Camas macias e quentinhas, banheiro espaçoso, chuveiro quente e cozinha bem……

“The house has a beautiful view, was easy to find and provided plenty of space for our group of 7.”

“It was nice and spacious. A lovely location. Issues - Firstly, we arrived to find dirty dishes, garbage still in the bathroom and overall not cleaned properly. This isn't an issue with the owner as they were responsive when we brought it up but still we had to clean. The dirty linens were left in the washer, which we understood would happen. We were expected to clean them, thats ok as we were leaving ours in the washer also. Our issue was we had no laundry detergent, on emailing the owners we……

“Die Unterkunft und Lage des Hauses einfach traumhaft gelegen. Kompliziert meiner Meinung nach, dass man am Abreisetag noch die Wäsche waschen/ trocknen muss. Möchte man früh morgens los um die Fähre zu nehmen sehe ich dies als sehr umständlich. Leider war die Mikrowelle nicht sauber. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert.”
